So, I'm temporarily in Peru so I'm going to be trying for my tickets for my friends in the UK from here...I have a UK debit card and credit card, but I just wanted to check does my purchase will still count as a UK ticket and not an International ticket (so I can pay on my debit card)?

Given the very average wifi I doubt this will be a problem, but better to be safe than sorry :)

That's pretty much a standard evening in for @Yoghurt on a Stick

Lol.

As it happens I do have a strobe light. It's not a purpose made disco one though, but does the same thing. It's actually a function of a fuck off and die torch I bought. It's got a mental amount of lumens and has a beam like a light house.

Yeh it's pretty awesome! Being in the mountains is crazy beautiful. I'm mostly working so don't have anywhere near as much time to explore as I'd like, but I guess I get to see a bit of a different side to it. Totally recommend it if you get a chance!!! Never been to Brazil though, so no idea how it compares

im in a quandary, but nothing like as complicated as Yog's.

I'm firmly of the 'Wednesday is the best day' opinion, but let's not start that civil war again.

thing is, here's my question, do I go for coach tickets, knowing that if I get them, I'll arrive later than I would prefer. Or do I hold off for the Sunday resale and just go for that. It's pickle, alright

Ack, horrible dilema. I'm just going for general resale, but I know if/when I flame out, I'll be kicking myself that I didn't go for coach tickets. And yet, on some level it is all or nothing for me- I arrived on the Thursday one year and really didn't like it- felt like I'd walked into the cinema halfway into a film. I agree, the Wednesday is very important to me. Still is some Glastonbury better than none? I suppose it's a decision we'll all have to make on our own.

Ta :) Back on the 8th June...right in time for the pre-glasto run up (which mostly involves running around like crazy for a tent, glitter and a fuck load of cider)

You're without tickets and considering giving the coach sale a miss because you prefer the Wednesday?  You're bonkers!

We were in the same boat last year. Tough call, we all wanted Wed coach and luck was with us, we got 2 for our preferred departure BHam on the Wed and 2 for Bristol Wed. Where do you live? Bristol had loads of choice when my pal got on. Seemed to us like Bristol and London are good choices to try for first. Good luck dude..see you in June

Thia is probably going to be a down vote  magnet, but I'm only trying to help anybody who is desperate. My understanding is that if you don't get on the coach the driver hands tour ticket into the ticket office and you can pick them up from there later on. For anybody trying for the coach who can't get their desired location, and one a million miles away is available that's always an option? I know that's defeating the object a bit, but I'm talking about a last resort if you can't get your local departure.

I hadn't said anything about it because I feel a little embarrased about it. The 'it' is that I am missing a fair few teeth now. You really can't orally take the amount of drugs that I take (daily for about the last 4 to 5 years) and get to keep your teeth. Oddly enough, owing to some strange quirk, I am entitled to free dentistry because I have an under active thyroid. It's just that I haven't sought treatment because I no longer care about what I look like to my wife, family and friends. I really have all but given up on vanity. That said, I'm not sure that I'd feel comfortable rocking up to meet 'new' people at Glastonbury. Maybe I'd be Ok, maybe I wouldn't. Fuck knows.

In all the years I've been going to efests meetings I can't ever recall us having a beauty pageant. You're with like-minded people who are happy to while away a few hours getting trollied with fellow efesters - nobody gives a toss about appearances. (It's not exactly a place where folks are looking at their best anyway!!)

Hopefully see you there Yog :D

Anyone else need help also? There are six of us in our group, and after @CrispyRed sorted us out on main sale day we really want to pay the good deed forward and help as many people as we can!

Cheers JoBalls. :)  I must admit to being well up for any help in getting a couple of tickets. My only problem is to sort out another two people to go in to the 'group' with us and then sort out who does the paying etc. There is a list somewhere that a very kind bloke called Chris has formulated. Unfortunately every time I look at that list I come away non the wiser as to what I'm meant to do. It's purely my fault because a big 'screen' kind of comes up and I can't see the wood for the trees. I may as well be trying to read Russian. This happens to me with anything remotely mathematical or political. The maths thing is a pain in the arse, but I'm really quite happy to be politically ignorant.

If it's OK with you then, I'll contact you at a later date with names, registration no's etc etc?

I'm really keen to get hold of a CV ticket if any come up. A few efesters have mentioned a page checker to see if the ticket website has been updated. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a page checker app to see if if I can get on as soon as tickets become available.

also is the webpage the normal seetickets one???

Yep, absolutely fine, just let me know! I'm sure sorting out another two people will work itself out... and in terms of the paying someone a page or so back has mentioned setting up a pre pay card for this purpose so maybe look into that?

There will be a CV ticket sale straight after the main sale on Sunday.

I'm in exactly the same predicament as you (and was the previous couple of times I had to try in the resale) but didn't want to speak up in fear of the backlash, because yes, of course we should be trying in the coach sale, but I fucking love the Wednesday and it would suck so much to not be there that day.

Managed to bag tickets in the main resale the last couple of times so, even though it may lead to me not being there at all, I'll probably do the same this time.

Also got informed by the one person I thought I could count on to come with me (he never shuts up about it) that he now can't afford it and so am currently left pleading with people to come. It'll be fine - at worst I'll go and do it alone, or just latch on to a group of people I kind of know like I did in '14 - but it's send the shits up me and me being there even moreso, and I'm not exactly the outgoing type so meeting up with strangers and/or attempting to make friends is a no-go).

Coach ticket resale sounds like more hassle than normal cos you're selecting days and departure points and then it sells out the one you're on while you're doing it so you try again somewhere else and it sells out and so on and so on.

I've done it before, after decades of going by car.  One day the secret resale choices were 300 miles away,  the next 120.  In the end it just meant an extra train and tube to the o2, but once you were on that coach as it pulled into view of the site you couldn't be more delighted and how you got there was just a wee part of the adventure.

If you fail for the coach tickets, I can help out on the Sunday resale.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
