Park: M83 / Daughter / Mac DeMarco

Saturday:
Pyramid: Adele / Macklemore & Ryan Lewis / The Last Shadow Puppets / Years and Years / John Grant / The Strypes
Other: New Order / CHVRCHES / The 1975 / Wolf Alice / Crystal Fighters
West Holts: James Blake / Four Tet / Floating Points
John Peel: Catfish and the Bottlemen / The Coral / The Mystery Jets
Park: Explosions in the Sky / Mercury Rev / Unknown Mortal Orchestra

Sunday:
Pyramid: Coldplay / Ellie Goulding / Tame Impala / Jeff Lynne's ELO

West Holts: Earth, Wind and Fire / Jungle / Gary Clark Jr.
John Peel: Jamie xx / Grimes / Boy Better Know / Rat Boy

Pretty close I'd say!

It's not even close I'd say! At least 12 of those didn't even play and most of the rest are on different stages.

That wasn't the situation really though was it?, it was a the lineup isn't bad. I'm not saying you can out together a lineup without knowing bands....but that doesn't mean it's close.

Have Chase and Status done anything to justify headlining OS again? It feels like similar bands that broke through around 2013 like Disclosure and Alunageorge taken steps forward while Chase and Status done the opposite.

Strong set of subs on the pyramid, The XX - NGHFB - Lady Gaga would be a terrific lineup for most festivals. #2yearsin1 - all the rumours flying around and that comment from eavis only sets up for a major disappointment in late march :D

You had me right up until 'Alunageorge taken steps forward'  I'd say all hype around them is pretty dead and gone. Wasn't a big fan of their new stuff either.

I agree with you about Chase & Status though and think they're only now featuring in people's predictions as Other headliners because there doesn't seem to be many electronic acts about who'd be suitable for it. Fingers crossed Glastonbury pulls something a bit better out of the bag (although not too good because Radiohead).

New album on the way I believe and headlining Lovebox this year. Think one of the Lovebox headliners has headlined the Other Stage for the last few years now and looks like Frank Ocean is ruled out.

Christ I totally missed that they were headlining Lovebox - I guess there's more to it than I thought then. Opposite Radiohead will do nicely, although I maintain that it's a bit of a shit booking.

Was bored so had a little guess at 3 of the stages..

+1 for presentation.

That Saturday Other just doesn't look right to me though. Chance wouldn't be third down. And I just can't see them going big on grime and hip hop only for that to be mid afternoon early evening and it be followed by LG and Alt J. If they are doing it they are going to make a statement with it I think. I think what I'm saying is you could take the top two out and it would look more likely to me.

I actually think all three of your days for OS are a bit strong maybe.

Sat in the library procrastinating, a sunlight breaks through the clouds and I see a well laid out lineup prediction

it's coming folks, keep at it

(Nice lineup - not too sure about some of the placings but i'd take it)

Since Haim look to be subbing reading I won't be surprised if they nab a third down slot on the pyramid

No chance, surely.

Presumably they have more bands to announce in higher positions. If the immediate undercard is Haim, Blossoms, Giggs, Marshmello and Halsey that says more about the state of Reading these days than it does about the position in which the same bands can expect to play at Glastonbury.

Just looked at Haim's festival tour dates and Reading and Leeds are all they've announced so far. Presumably if they were going to be touring over the summer and playing predominent slots at festivals they would have been announced for more than those two already?

If they play I'd expect to see them 3rd on Pyramid or late afternoon Other.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
