Since Haim look to be subbing reading I won't be surprised if they nab a third down slot on the pyramid

They defo won't be subbing Reading. They were booked last year to sub NME and have done nothing since then. I reckon R&L have a sub and either a 3rd main or NME headliner TBA and HAIM will take the remaining of the 3rd main/NME headline slots.

Edit: At least one of those slots going to Skepta/Chance, held back on account of Wireless. I first expected both to be added but Dental made a good point that they won't have 2 of the Wireless headliners on the undercards at R&L.

Just looked at Haim's festival tour dates and Reading and Leeds are all they've announced so far. Presumably if they were going to be touring over the summer and playing predominent slots at festivals they would have been announced for more than those two already?

If they play I'd expect to see them 3rd on Pyramid or late afternoon Other.

Yeah we're into March now and there's still no sign of this sophomore record, so I expect they'll just come over late Summer to whip up a bit of hype, drop the album in the Autumn and then blitz the festival scene like they did in 2013 next year. Possibility they may be one of the acts Emily was referring to with her 'gotta fit in two years of music' comment but I doubt it.

Have it firm in my mind we're either getting weird or weak other stage headliners

The fact we can't even pull together three names in confidence is definitely concerning

Last year we were pretty sure on New Order, LCD Soundsystem and (we thought Bring Me the Horizon), also had suspicions of Disclosure - so we were never far off

Very strange that we are so in the dark this year.. it's the reason why i'm starting to think there is stock in BBK, Justice, Green Day

I think alt-J are surely the most likely. We got info a while back they were headlining it opposite Foos and we now know their only free day that weekend is the day Foos are playing.

I don't believe Green Day for a second.

Justice I'm thinking will happen now due to Neil's few bits of info on it.

BBK and the supposed hip-hop day are rumoured for the day alt-J would have to be playing so I reckon there's a mix up there and they'll just be below alt-J, along with a few other hip-hop acts.

For a third I have no idea. Maybe Chase and Status due to them headlining Lovebox and not being exclusive, but it'd be a bit shit. They could be above Royal Blood though who could easily be an Other headliner themselves. Same as Justice above Imagine Dragons (what I'm predicting for Sunday) it could probably be viewed as being a closing set rather than a headliner.

I'm back to thinking Gaga will be there due to her Coachella announcement, which could shift The xx over to Other headliners in my mind.

So yeah, at the moment I think 3 of alt-J, Justice, Chase and Status, The xx and maybe BBK.

Also wouldn't be hugely shocked to see Major Lazer's exclusive at R&L turn out to be bollocks and for them to be opposite Radiohead. We've seen in the past that Glasto sometimes has acts that are claimed as exclusives elsewhere. Although after last year R&L don't seem to be bullshitting about exclusives; I know they never claimed Foals as one which was obviously because they were at Glasto too.

Good suggestion!

Yeah i'm fully expecting us to have one totaly w*nk other stage headliner (as usual). I guess Major Lazer fit that box as they're guaranteed to draw a crowd.

Major Lazer, Alt-J, Justice wouldn't be too bad. I still think the XX will be subbing Radiohead, Lady Gaga subbing Ed Sheeran.

Also... would it be mad to suggest that Imagine Dragons are subbing Foo Fighters? They get pretty big slots across the board... and I could see them being offered the slot as they seem to keep getting bigger and bigger and don't show any signs of going away

I still think it's mad as well that people think HAIM have been announced as they have but are going to be shoved down to 4th/even 5th on the lineup with most not considering a sub possibility with no reason to hold back others.

They have got generally quite a weak undercard and also have 3 established headliners with a European Exclusive being one of them and also 2 big subs and last year 2 of the subs were not that big in Chvrches and The Vaccines plus two of the headliners this year are on a completely different level to all of the co-headliners last year.

If BBK can be announced from the off then so can Chance or Skepta....which is unlikely given what else he is doing anyway. I can't see much on the Wireless lineup this year similar enough that it would a plot the crowd from Reading.

Nothing from Latitude obviously.

Imagine Dragons are same as Bastille to me. Subs at R&L but Other subs at Glasto.

Although the wording is simply "exclusive performance" which in my mind literally means nothing, and if it was a genuine festival exclusive I'd expect them to actually say it was a festival exclusive?

Yeah the wording isn't conclusive but he doesn't appear to be very active anyway so who knows.

I wouldn't think he'd get it but the inclusion of Oasis songs I think will put him above JP and Neil's info with his being on Other suggests that. You can't put the lead singer of Oasis when he's confirmed he's perform Oasis songs regardless of him being a twat or whatever in the space of the JP. I think there will be a fit of leeway given he'll want to be seen by as many as possible/not flop like Beady Eye so i think he'll want to keep away from top two on Other but I can't see him below 3rd myself unless it's Friday, Saturday I can't see him doing and Sunday he'll want to avoid clashing with the Legend slot. I think he's restrained from any UK dates yet either so he gets a crowd.
