For those who are going to go though - First Direct is an fantastic arena, as far as arenas go.  I should probably say this really quietly, but I saw The Courteeners there week before last and they sounded awesome due to the acoustics of the place.  There isn't a shit space on the floor.  I've never sat there, but the design makes the seating pretty close.  It's about a 20 minute walk (if that) from the station and has a multi storey 2 mins away

Just all watch out you don't break a bone there - the floors get dangerously slippy.  The bars are up some stairs from the floor and can get a bit lethal

I did not think Morrissey knew his dad. In my defence though I stopped reading his autobiography after a few chapters as he comes across as a right prick.

But but, she doesn't specifically say those two rumours are SR and DP in her first sentence, could be referring to another two rumours... And then addressing the news story of SR and DP separately in her next statement...

There was only one chapter, which really didn't help his cause. I did get to the end, and quite enjoyed it (he can be rather amusing) although the unending victim mentality was rather trying.

I'm with you on this Scruffylove.  I think the arrogance of publishing straight to 'Penguin Classics' is genius.  I think he came over all a bit Disraeli, which works for me.

Surely Morissey was in on the joke there with the Penguin Classics?  He might come across as a pompous prick in interviews these days, but it doesn't take much reading of Smiths lyrics to notice quite a sense of humour.

In other words, it's not real arrogance, just mock arrogance.

Keep checking. They have been back on sale a couple of times.

They put them on early, I could have got standing before. Opted not to though, they are adamant that names will be printed on tickets and the lead booker needs to be present. Don't think it's worth the risk when I might not even be able to go come to the time and I'm going Wembley a few days before
