Flopping down on the grass at my location of choice, backpack and gear strewn on the floor with sweat dripping in the sun and knowing that I've made it again and the effort is basically over.

For the first time ever at Glastonbury for me this year we'll have a car in the car parks, so I can do multiple trips, so maybe less of the sweating (although that morning sun in the height of June can be more than enough).

Walking into the festival for my very FIRST time!!!! The anticipation of what that's gonna feel like makes my stomach feel like the butterflies are in there doing the riverdance!

SO EXCITED, CAN'T WAIT!!!! :)

Last year was my first, you'll be surprise how at home you feel very quickly! Arriving into Pilton and seeing the festival is a special moment.

No one has mentioned that cheer which spreads across the site on the Wednesday evening.

Although saying that not sure if I've heard it the last couple of years?

I haven't heard it in a few years now

We should get our arses up to the Stone Circle and cheer our heads off.

alas, like shouting 'bollocks' and wearing an oversized jesters hat, the cheer now seems part of glastonbury's past.

The cheer at 8am on Wednesday when the gates opened last year was brilliant to hear from the 'inside' :D

Being geeky ... first sight of the John Peel in it's new location!

Really excited for this too! Being based in/near the woods with a brand new light installation - sounds like it will give the stage a bit more character and I can't wait to see it.

It was only my first time last year but I thought the JP tent stuck out as lacking a bit of personality, just your bog-standard festival tent in a bit of a barren area really. Hoping this shifts the dynamic a little!

Also when it rains it is like that castle at the end of Holy Grail.  Hope they have found some slightly elevated ground for the tent most likely to over spill. :-)

Getting to the coach pickup point on Wednesday morning and seeing all my mates laden with luggage and looking festival-fresh.

Then, receiving my ticket on the coach.

Then, the first sight of the festival site. Will try hard not to scream and cry.

Then, getting that wristband safely on my left wrist.

Then, getting to my tipi, pulling up a pew, and cracking open a chilled canned cocktail and having a smoke with my pals, and kicking back in the sun for an hour or two before heading off for a good explore.

Then, chewing the fat with lots of festival randoms throughout the 5 days and laughing my wellies off.

Getting parked up and having that first beer in the car park watching people arrive.  We usually arrive about 5ish on the Wednesday just when the site is starting that early evening buzz. Then meeting up with the rest of the group - how come in "real life" when you meet someone it's usually a nod, a "alright" or maybe a handshake.  When you meet someone at Glastonbury its a massive hug and loads of back patting!!!!
