The best in terms of meeting some amazing new buddies who I cant wait to see again in 2016

The worst in terms of the line-up (IMHO, steel helmet at ready),and for the first time thought the festival started to seem a bit....well,,,,,samey!

I enjoyed this year but for many reasons it was not my best. I overdid it wednesday which wrote me off Thursday which is usually the day to walk about soaking in the Glasto vibes.

The saturday and sunday didnt offer me an awful lot in terms of performances. I felt there just wasnt much that i was pumped for besides Future Islands and Kanye.

The Friday though was up there with the best days ive spent at Glastonbury. When the rain began to clear, i went from Run The Jewels to The Libertines to Hot Chip and it was sensational. Then ended up in the spaceport reliving my DnB youth to High Contrast and London Electricity. Was still enjoying the new york brass band at 6am on the saturday morning. Just had everything i love about glasto rolled into 24hrs (this may also explain why on sat and sun i wasnt completely at the races...).

If i was to score it, id give it a 7 out of 10. Enough magic to keep me interested but I agree with you when you say it felt a bit "samey".

Managed to catch London Electricity at Shangri-Heaven, was exceptional and caught a fantastic retro Acid DJ set in the cave but otherwise spent a long time walking around trying to find stuff. Mark Ronson on Other was a highlight for me, which actually sums it up! overall give it 6/10

My worst Glastonbury. Which isn't to say it was bad, just not as amazing as the previous 5. The mates I went with aren't really into the same music as me, so I spent a lot of the time on my own. Nobody (apart from probably Hot Chip, but I was so excited I over-indulged and don't really remember it) put together a set that totally hit the spot. Kanye should've been the highlight but although he was good, various things meant he wasn't as good as he could've been... It was just all a bit average?

That said. There were some great moments. Kanye until Lee Nelson came on, bits of Burt Bacharach, Belle & Sebastian doing Boy with the Arab Strap, Patti. Inspector Norse. I was on my own for all of those though.

Very surreal experience. Went for the first time and went on my own as I couldn't convince my friends to ditch Reading. All seems like a really weird dream now looking at it but I saw some amazing sets as well as some gut-wrenching let downs (Kanye). Love the festival but still feel like I've only seen the very surface level of it and I'm really looking forward to exploring it deeper next year.

That said brilliant as it was I don't think I'd go on my own again. It's great having the freedom to explore and do what you want, I'd normally go off on my own anyway, but not having anyone to go back to at the end of the day is a bit bleak. Definitely limits your enjoyment of the night time areas too. Thankfully I'll have at least a couple friends coming this year which should take the whole experience up a notch. :)

Depending on how sociable you are, there are the camp Ralph and solo discussions beforehand on here which means you can meet up with people and then knock about with them over the festival. Maybe not for you in 2016 Mash, if you've got 2 mates, but certainly for any others.

My best ever.  Friday a particular highlight line up wise inc Frank Turner at Strummerville which was immense.  Saturday partied me out though, especially after PSB at the Glade, which was again awesome.

There's a Glastonbury Highlights on BBC2 following Jools Holland at about 1.30am on New Year's Day.  I think it's a re-run but probably worth recording to induldge from time to time.

Yes saw that last night, happy memories

One of the best I've been to I'd say. I find it quite difficult going with my friends, I always find that I have to go where they want to go to please them so don't get any time to ramble about by myself but this year I pretty much spend all my days on my own which was brilliant. Stayed with the camp solo lot so had people to chat to when I got back but that was enough for me.

Friday was the best day I've ever had at Glastonbury. Wandered around Theatre and Circus all day getting battered then headed to Wilko Johsnon at Acoustic then over to Caribou and Hot Chip pulling off a complete showstopper. This year I managed to do all the things I wanted to do in previous years and I never felt lonely at any point. Over all I'd give it a 9/10

2015 was probably the worst one I've been to. I thought the atmosphere was flat, I struggled a bit health wise, very few of the sets I saw actually did anything for me (Kate Tempest, Hinds and Frank Turner in Strummerville are the only ones I feel I'll have lasting memories of) and I thought I was done with the whole thing.

However, having totally put Glastonbury out of mind, except for the rush of ticket day, I now feel like I have the same excitement as I did for my very first one and am ready to rediscover the magic.

Can't wait ^_^

I can understand a few of the comments on here, I didn't enjoy the festival quite as much as I previously have done, and I almost certainly said the same in 2014. I can't quite put my finger on it but I suspect over-familiarity is starting to set in. I've only missed one of the last ten/eleven (going again this year) so know the site inside out, and it never changes significantly year on year. I almost feel like I've seen and done everything I want to do at Glastonbury and am simply going through the motions.

I think I need a year or two off to recharge my enthusiasm and start to miss it again.

I thought the line up was poor this year, at least on the main stages (just watched the BBC highlights and there was one song shown where I was there). Still had a great time though, Avalon remains a joy as do the T&C fields, really looking forward to this year when I'll get to spend it with my eldest. I think seeing it through the eyes of a first timer will add a great deal.

2015 was my first visit and I wasn't disappointed, I wasn't overly fussed with a lot of the acts that where on but found that it didn't really make any difference . Wow what a place , I've spent the last 6 months trying to explain to anyone who'll listen ( and any one who won't ) how much of an amazing place it is . Lucky enough to have tickets for 2016 and it can't come quick enough , oh I also got married there too which was fun

Went back to Leeds festival a couple of months later what a come down that was .

Did the same in 2011. Was nice to say bye to the place that had introduced me to festivals, and provided some great memories. But I knew I probably wouldn't be going back. I only need one festival and that's now Glastonbury.
