so apparently Bon Iver's set at his Eaux Claires festival in August is gonna be made up entirely of new material. not sure about filling a festival headline set with all new unheard music (he's maybe exaggerating), but the fact that that much new Bon Iver material exists is very exciting! hopefully a new album is soon to come

Hopefully he'll make an appearance next year then with these new tunes. Too big to headline The Park these days?

We're all on the new Portishead ye?

Was actually saying to my mate in the tent last night that I didn't think we'd see any more Portishead music. Make a bloody mug of me will ya?

I'm not sure we will see anymore Portishead music, I'm pretty sure this cover was just put together for Glastonbury, I may be wrong though

That Portishead track was done for High Rise I believe. I'd certainly heard it quite a while ago.

I thought I'd be wrong, I thought it was just for the Jo Cox tribute from Glastonbury

Blood Orange, Beyond the Wizards Sleeve, DJ Shadow and Metronomy to listen to.

I can't find the Metronomy album on Spotify, is it streaming anywhere?

Maybe. It's properly out in stores and stuff so there should be a way.

Freetown Sound is frigging excellent. If anyone is sleeping on this then w a k e u p.

Bought Freetown Sound on first spin, it really gets going after E.V.P.

Got a copy of the Metronomy album so I'll give that a spin tonight and buy it if I like it.

Snoop's new album out too, in Apple Music though I think. What a glorious few days.

If rumours are true and Metronomy don't tour off the back of this record then the world is well and truly fucked, the people need to experience this

I say they play 0 shows and have one big massive party at Glastonbury next year

New album by The Range has been a real revelation, one of my favourites of the year. It reminds me of some of Burial's more upbeat stuff. All the vocal samples are sourced from amateurs on youtube, who I believe get a cut of the royalties as well.

v. nice!

Is that the rumour? Bugger.

It's a terrific record but not the record I was expecting from them next. They're on the cusp of being a real big thang and it's sort of a hark back to the early days with all its silliness and stuff, so not the thing that I was thinking would take them up a level.

Maybe this was just a bit of a project and there's another album on the horizon - the promo for this one has been super low-key so I guess no tour nor festivals would make sense if they're moving straight on.

Pretty sure that's the case mate :( . My friend works for a music PR company, who have done some work for Metronomy and he told me they're not touring the record.
