Radiohead touring in 2016

I managed to get into the after party at the Roundhouse last Saturday and spoke to Polly Jean and Thom....asked Thom if he was doing anything at Glasto this year and he responded with a very definite NO....but then he would wouldn't he.

well not that it looked at all likely that they'd be making an appearance now anyway but that's enough for me to not have to worry about any kind of secret set or such!

Not sure they'll do that either. Buzz/hype will be over for this years' album, tour will be finished.

One drawback about booking your headliners like two years in advance is you don't get to take advantage of any re-emerging bands who tend to stay under radar like Radiohead.

 I was fortunate to see them at the Roundhouse, and will be scrambling for tickets when they do a bigger tour. Fairly sure they won't play Glastonbury unless the next re-emergence aligns a little better.

Muse are playing 12 months since releasing Drones. If RH play next year it will only be 13 months since AMSP

I'm so glad I bought NOS Alive tickets now. At least I know if they happen to play any kind of secret set - unlikely, I know - then at least if I miss it I won't hate myself for doing so.

Muse 12 months since Drones.

I get where you're coming from but I don't think it applies to all that are booked to headline the Pyramid.

Yup! Also means I can miss the likes of Tame Impala knowing I'll get to see them two weeks later

distraught feeling today. I completely expected that this was surely going to happen, they were surely booked. today i sort of felt as I did when Bono did up his back in 2010 and U2 pulled out a few days later which must have been around this time, just a few weeks out??? ...all in all, it will be a great weekend of course but today has been a gut-wrenching day...my top 5 acts going into today had a few TBC/SR assumptions but were generally...

1 Radiohead

2 PJ Harvey

3 & 4 Guy Garvey or Beck

5) Richard Aschcroft

(1) and (5) obviously don't exist, and 2,3, 4 are all playing around the same time. Really cuts into my expectations.

I actually quite like Tame Impala, but there's been a sudden tide of ill will towards them today on my end, unnecessary bitterness that a half-decent band has been placed into a slot that could have been reserved for a statement-making gesture from Glastonbury showing it's true pull and ability to get a major act on before the biggest selling act in the world...but Tame Impala...i was thinking they could be on before (or maybe at a stretch after) ZZ Top on Friday

Exactly what I'll be doing too. Tame Impala into Adele is a very odd choice but Tame Impala followed by Radiohead (hoping that's it anyway) would be incredible.

I don't get this sense that all hope is lost. In my eyes it is still as likely or unlikely as it ever was. Radiohead were never going to sub Adele, the same slot that Foals and Beck are playing on the other two days of the festival. If it's anything, it will be a secret set.

I really wanted RH to play but knew all along they wouldn't. I do hope they play 2017 though and given they're at no UK festivals this year I would think that the chances are pretty high.
