tried to make it semi realistic (bar the addition of Let Down and a few others) and i just don't see them playing it anymore tbh as much as it pains me, although who knows what oldies they'll decide to bring back this tour

Ive only seen them once, the last tour. I would love a career spanning set (inc Pablo Honey era) , but I'd be very happy with whatever they did... (as long as they play fake plastic trees)

I would think they'd avoid that clash otherwise the LCD Soundsystem crowd may struggle to span the barrier.

Just caught up with the thread and going off of history I agree with those suggesting it be a secret set. Hope not as I wouldn't mind actually being able to see it.

aye you'd think there'd be a big crossover there so it'd be a ridiculous clash. now massively hoping the BMTH rumours were wrong and LCD are on the Sunday

and another secret set? where would a band like Radiohead, a headline act, even do a secret set now that the Park things are over and done with?

I can't see another secret set, I was up at The Park last time and it was daft. They aren't gonna have them do another secret set after it was their secret set last time out that sparked the health & safety concerns. Pyramid or bust for me

Just living in the hope that Adele's bottled it, or they've knocked Muse on the head

I'd rather the muse info is wrong.

Radiohead Fri

New Order Sat

My weekend is already potentially shaping up very very nicely.

Yep I'm with you, with the dour Pyrmaid headliners that have been doing the rounds and then all of a sudden the chance of Radiohead Friday/New Order Saturday. I'll be over the moon with that

Sunday needs to pick up as BMTH and LCD soundsystem do nothing for me... .

But this Radiohead news is the best thing I could have heard

Dunno. If they want one, would Glasto just refuse them?

Their not a bad bands but their one of these bands I think the fanboys and girls hype far to much......their not bad and some of their materials great but then a lot of it also sounds like their trying to be arty and experimental for the point of being so rather then it actually sounding good. ...luckily they have enough `standout` tracks to make up a decent festival set but Id still be torn as they are also the type of band who will go through phases of not playing their most popular songs even if people want to hear them (creep for example didnt they refuse to play that for ages?) because their `art` is more important then their fans having a good time plainly So it depends what mood they are in I guess as to if we actually get a good set or a set full of filler they `think` we want to hear........

Have you ever been right about anything ever?

It's quite remarkable how you are wrong about EVERYTHING.

It's a talent of sorts I suppose.

of course not, but i just don't see a suitable venue for it happening. if acts like Wolf Alice can pack out a tent to a dangerous level what would happen if word got out about an act like Radiohead?

Is that even possible ?
Im shaking thinking about this

pretty much what i'm hoping will happen 'cause, as a booking, it makes a lot of sense. unfortunately all info suggesting LCD playing has had them headlining Other one night. fingers crossed that info was wrong

At this moment in time I couldn't choose a better sub and headliner, I just feel it might be asking a tiny bit too much,
especially for my first year

if it is them to headline, and i really hope it is, I can't see them being announced until after the resale. just on the basis that the festival doesnt want people coming just for one band. TBH they probably won't drop anything much pre resale anyway - they didnt last year, did they.

I know radiohead are popular but they aren't that popular

didn't stop them announcing the stones before the resale... or Kanye / Foo Fighters for that matter

Absolutely stunningly comprehensively wrong / misunderstood on a quite incredibly impressive level.

Edit: Penguin, I mean.

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
