amazing news. surely it's Pyramid...but if it wasn't...could they possibly headline the Park or even West Holts with an specifically requested act immediately before them (as in Flaming Lips last time) someone they're friends with/have collaborated with, like...Wilco?

there's no way Radiohead are headlining any other stage other than the Pyramid - the place would be a death trap

the guy will find any reason for bands he doesn't like to not be playing the festivals he attends. the discussions about Foals in the Reading/Leeds section were exhausting

LMAO......I'm not even the person who originally suggested the other week that they may not play/want to play a set that would appeal to the crowd that would attend the Pyramid. A headline friendly set or whatever it went down to, you might have even been involved so for me to be wrong for saying it is pure laughable! lol

Radiohead to headline the Park or West Holts, are you saying?

I bet they regret that though, cos the flaming lips blew them away!

Going out on a limb here..... Headlining JP? Perhaps, perhaps, it's not just a new location for JP but actually a much bigger tent/stage on par with Other?

It would have to be absolutely fucking huge and every other band would struggle to fill something that size.

It's the Pyramid.

Limb removed and thrown away at that suggestion! If Radiohead are announced they can and will only headline the Pyramid Stage

Aye, it's very unlikely. But part of me wonders have they got someone massive to crown a new JP tent/stage.

Alternative hypothesis: using hologram technology they'll appear on every single stage at the festival simultaneously and become the first band in the world to literally make a festival-goer's head explode as they find themselves unable to get away from the painful noises in their head.

Hmm is it not just a move though? But exactly the same stage?

I think we've all assumed it's the same stage but perhaps it's not?

I'm just speculating; it appears we're heading for a strong line up and I'm trying to think of stages to fit which led me to wonder 'what has changed from previous years' and the only thing is JP moving....which made me wonder rather than a lift and shift, is it actually a new stage. Other was upgraded last year......

I thought we'd all assumed it was a new stage!  The old one was starting to look a bit worse for wear by all accounts. It might be the same old tent though, there hasn't been any official indication either way has there?

That's the thing that's got me wondering. They've said about a move (via an interview with a mag) and that's it. Perhaps it's a big surprise like the new Other Stage?

'Our brand new JP stage, in a new location, with a big headliner'

you think so? and you who rated 03 > 97? i like the Flaming Lips but just don't think that set was that brilliant.

I loved it! I was a much bigger flaming lips fan back then though. Right on the barrier, which is where I stayed for radiohead which probably influences why I prefer it to 97.

Happy days.

Thing is.. just in purely geographic terms, the old Hospitality/Cinema Field isn't really big enough for what you describe. By the time you put in a bar, some food stalls, and a small backstage area, there's not enough room to make the stage much bigger than it has been the last couple years.

The Other Stage changes last year just meant that the structure was more impressive - it didn't increase the capacity of the field any, or (in my opinion) lead to bigger acts playing.

Where is all this nonsense coming from? :D If they play and they're listed, they'll headline the Pyramid again. They're playing headlining festival sets this time around, so I don't think the comparison to 2011 applies.

Far more likely that Muse (who aren't doing any fests and finish two weeks before Glastonbury) or Adele (who as it stands is only playing v. tightly controlled arena gigs - this will change if she plays the Superbowl obviously) aren't doing it.

So....

Word I hear is that they're playing. The word should be good because it's been good before, but I can never know until announced (or not).

I have no info to whether that might be headlining or not.

If you don't mind my asking, how would you rate the strength of this info compared to your info on Muse/Coldplay/Adele?

Do you think it's still more likely to be that trio, or do you think it's more likely that Radiohead will be one?

    • Yeh, the quiet camping also seems to be on the same side (broadly) as the bits of the festival that go on the latest (Far Out / Chai Waalahs / RTT until 4am). We're always in Tangerine Fields which is right behind the main stage and as soon as that and Rising Stage are done it's pretty quiet (midnight onwards) which I'd guess is pretty similar if you can hack taking all your gear from the car past the big tree in the middle and into the campsites that side.
    • Can't see Bimble line up anywhere - am I being dense and missing an obvious release somewhere?
    • Not expecting a tour imminently but Peter Gabriel would fit the vibes magnificently.
    • I have but a very long time ago and can remember nothing about it at all. Which I suppose is a review of sorts
    • Addison Rae has 33m instagram followers, Slayyyter 667k. Also 15 to 7,5 million spotify listeners with Addison's last release being more than a year ago. Obviously these metrics aren't everything, but still there is a big gap in popularity between the two.
