If you have Wolf Alice on a par with Bon Iver then something has gone wrong. :P

I got in to a VERY heated debate witha close friend about where Bon Iver would play at glasto. So much so we very nearly fell out.

They were resolute that they couldnt see them headlining the Other/Subbing the pyramid. I thought it was a given that that is EXACTLY where they would play. Having headlined latitude in 12, i would have thought the natural placing would be Other Headliner against some bland commercialised rubbish.

Isn't Bon Iver just bland non-commercial rubbish.

all to take the majority of the high spots on Pyramid/Other.

If they played the Sunday there'd only be 3 days between that and a festival in Spain, and could be others yet to be announced in that gap still - surely there's a good chance for them?

and about ten days off before that.

All you can really read into those dates is that they're on tour and in the area which makes them more possible than not-on-tour or not in the area.

Bastille as said is one I keep forgetting to, I'd imagine 3rd down as in that prediction or Other sub comfortable without an issue. The 1975, BMTH and one of Bastille, TDCC and TIM as the other sub, I can't choose really between which two of those latter 3 for 3rd place main stage but at a pure guess I'd go for TI to be one of 3rd main.

Get rid of The Prodigy, replace with Ellie G, get rid of TDCC and replace with BMTH and bump up New Order, and slot someone in between Em Sande and Bastille and you MIGHT be on to something

The Prodigy's high energy crazy show then suddenly to Adele, it'd be talked about as the worst come down with that change over for years, Adele would NEVER agree that. It'll be Other header for sure if they play.

Personally I now see New Order heading WHs, closing set as dark as it can be in a correct position. I'm going to go for Bastille subbing Other as well. So Bastille, BMTH and The 1975 as Other subs, TDCC and TI as Pyramid 3rds. I think just about I'm at Faithless, Ellie G and ELO subbing. The only Other header I'm really fixed for is The Prodigy.

The 1975 won't be that high, nor will Missy Elliott and Ellie G will be one place higher if plays. That top 3 on Sunday would be MAJORLY strong.

Two great WHs shouts, with Disclosure, which still could happen but if they are subbing two major UK fests and R&L have to cope with c-headline then they've been fooked over. I would swap The Weeknd and Tame Impala but decent Other guess. Frank turner is a great shout for JP, he'll be there again if he's asked as he wanted to play for so long until this year and Pyramid would drown him a bit I think. I do think TLSP are more likely to to JP or The Park closing than play lower on a bigger stage.

There is a low about that could fit in this year. I'm kind of liking BP, The Wailers then Underworld to try something different. Catfish, probably Chvrches and The Prodigy.

why are you so certain Ellie Goulding would/will sub? sure she's gotten pretty big lately, but her as a sub seems a little off to me, and i think she'd sit far more comfortably third down if she played, similar to Sheeran last year

I would be pretty sure that if Ellie G plays next year she would be in a sub position. Have you seen how big her tour was?. Comparing to Ed Sheeran is a bit off as when he played Glasto in 3rd, his tours weren't that big and didn't hit big until after Glasto, as I said the other day, Glasto did wonders for size now. This is a little bit like accepting other acts that have had new albums out, growing in size and will play higher spots but ignoring that Ellie has done any of that.

maybe you're right - i guess i could see her subbing to Coldplay - but if i were to make a lineup prediction i think i'd definitely have her third on the Pyramid rather than subbing. it just doesn't seem right to me. and yes, i'd have her under Coldplay and not Adele. i can't see them having a female pop act subbing Adele. fuck knows who they would have, but i'd bet it'd be more likely to be your standard indie Pyramid act than another female pop act

Considering their rumored for the festival anyway, ELO would fit under Adele I think. It wouldn't be anything massively upbeat. I don't think it'd be something too indie, nothing too catchy guitar etc and ELO would get people bothered but not a majorly load of jumping around unlike someone like The Libs. I think they would do Ellie as well, them two would have what's needed to go before her, they did Pharrell under Kanye in fairness.

Beirut that low on the other would be a travesty.

Swap Muse for the Stone Roses and I'd happily have that line up though
