Somerset Live, getting all their Glasto leads from efestivals since 2015.

They do have better pictures of the work from on site though.

Just seen the banning plastic bottles article on there as well..... Anyone have any idea if they just mean banning vendors from selling plastic bottled items or banning us taking our spirits in in plastic bottles also?? haha May have to get a metal bottle.

Just vendors I think is what EE said recently at an event in Taunton.

No plastic ban enforced but efforts to reduce plastic sold on-site. More water stations will be built too.

it was the vendors ...although they said they will try to reduce the overall use by not enforcing a ban in a similar way to the lanterns and NOS at the stone circle

I imagine it would be a big shake up for the vendors.... would have to sell cans instead of bottles. To be honest though.... I have never bought a bottle of whatever at a festival ever. Beer & Cider is my staple... in cans or cups haha....  Im doing my bit for the environment! :D

ive always brought small bottles from the ice-cream vans to use as mixers ... it is useful to have a lid on them ... one year on arrival they randomly gave me a bottle of coke with my name on it .... which I proudly kept through the festival as my water container :)

The important question is what are they going to sell the milk in? Can't be glass, tetra packs aren't exactly great for the environment, so where does that leave you? Straight from the cow's teat?

They used to sell it from a jug carried by a horse and cart when my Mum was young.  Never hurt her, apart from the tuberculosis, of course.

How am I going to get the right mix of Kahlua & Vodka if I'm dodging a cows tail?

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
