At least Metallica have got a bit of something in them.....Coldplay at least have some upbeat stuff. Radiohead aren't upbeat and have a lot of slow stuff, I think you'd need to really be a fan to bother tuning in.

I don't disagree... the question is... would they ask them (if it is them...) to do a greatest hits show? or would they just play a 'Hardcore' friendly setlist?

I hate KoL, and if they're going to do a setlist like last time, i'd probably give it a miss.

I don't think so.

The O2 holds 22000, times 6 makes 132,000 which I reckon would mean that every paying customer on the site would have to be at the Pyramid stage.

Would leave the rest of the site somewhat empty

I always assumed the O2 was 16/17k, hence my figures. Woops!

Okay, five times the capacity then :P

The festival are just gonna prioritise booking a headliner first and worry about the TV cameras later (if at all) so I doubt it

I don't get how I am?, it's just an opinion. Radiohead for however big they are, are very niche, and if you believe what the original info on Metallica was they were due to be on Other instead.

Still a fav. Disappointing nonetheless.

Where did this Muse go?!

I've a feeling we're getting Stone Roses next year.

Yup me too, along with Ed Sheeran and Foo's if they don't do Glasto. I see it being Glasto though with R&L waiting a year.

Big and niche.

Jesus. It's fucking insufferable. Have you been grounded to your room for like a year or something?

To be fair, the TV crowd and the Glastonbury crowd will be very different. The (majority of the) sat at home on a Saturday night TV crowd will be channel hopping and will stay if something catches their attention. If they are Radiohead fans they will be happy (much like the people in attendance in a big lovely field). The reality is that the majority of the TV audience are indifferent and will flick channels when bored, irrespective of a bands assumed godliness.

Tbf, a good chunk of the Kanye crowd last were indifferent and many metaphorically channel hopped to a different stage.

    • Yes very true, think you're right on that unless they do an exclusive somewhere   Sorry should have been clearer I just made that up, just used https://festivalpostergenerator.com/ and popped some names in as a hopeful prediction
    • Did the Luke Combs show over the weekend. Obviously there is the commercial appetite for it, but one of those stadium gigs that - curiously - felt like it was still stuck in arena mode.
    • I'd suggest that's part of the appeal. You thinking more the aesthetics or the set-up?
    • First forecasts claim that though it gets cooler on the weekend (33C-ish), heatwave will be back by Monday. They expect at least 37-38C for next week, they don't know if it goes up to 40 degrees or not. Going to be tough.
