I am finding it hard to tell now who is being a windup merchant now and who has genuine views,

I think there needs to be a pinned thread at the top of the forum that must be read daily before going onto any of the other forums

Ed Sheeran is in the States

He's free on the Sunday though - so could you 100% rule him out? No? Very very unlikely but not impossible.

My problem is that none of the acts quite fit. Some fit more than others though.

Won't be Macca given his exclusivity at Roskilde which won't be fulfilled until July 3rd (or might be 4th? Can't remember) when he plays.

Florence 'could' headline, remember, if somebody like Prince dropped out. But why wait till June? No other UK shows either.

Blur seem quite likely given the 'other shows' line, but again why wait till June? There's no exclusivity either. Once the resale is over there are no tickets left, and so any announcement = publicity = ticket sales at Hyde Park and IOW. Similar stuff for Swift, sold out BST and no exclusive, so why the wait?

FM also doing IOW, but three nights in a row plus the categoric 'no' suggests otherwise.

Please no! I was looking forward to Glastonbury even more, in the comfort of knowing the ginger devil was on another continent for the duration. I'm gonna spend sunday fretting that he might suddenly appear when my guard is down.

Agree. Feels like we're missing a key part of the puzzle. Blur is the best fit but still doesn't feel quite right, can't put my finger on why though.

Part of me still (optimistically) wonders if this is some machiavellian plot and Prince is playing but the rumours have to be completely shutdown. He was rumoured to be back in London in June for some shows....perhaps those are the shows being referred to.

I think I need to accept it's not Prince.

Like i mentioned though why does it mean that Blur would be on the Pyramid, they could be Other stage headliners.

Mate you've cracked it:

Other headliners:

Friday - Prince

Saturday - Stone Roses

Sunday - Blur

Also looking forward to daft punk on West Holts

Edit: and The Who on Avalon

Blur haven't sold out their BST, and if they announce Glastonbury that's 100,000 Glasto people who could've bought Blur tickets and definitely won't because they're seeing them at G anyway.

Blur headlined last in 2009 on the Sunday night on the Pyramid stage, Do you really think they would be there again so soon and to play the same night? I find it highly unlikely.

Same gap as Coldplay headlining 2005 and 2011.
