the festival definitely has a higher number of "these types" after Jay z and beyonce. And that number will rise again after this years headline acts.

And at the same time the festival will get just that little bit shitter.

I have been every year since Jay-Z and have not noticed this.

I felt the same when you made those grotesque racist comments.

And I totally understand why you did mate, that's why I took your advice, read up on my totally unacceptable comments at the time, understood the ignorance I was displaying and apologised immediately and have never used the term since.

Apparently though, you like to hang on to that years later. Says more about your horrible personality than it does mine.

goddammit I feel bad now. That's the last time I'll mention it.

I can't talk about the changing crowds at Glasto and complain because I can imagine the seasoned Glasto goer would have taken one look at us 4 emaciated teenage ravers in 97 and not been impressed. We did get up to speed on things quickly I suppose.

The only gripe I do have is the number of vacuous z-list celebrities who manage to blag tickets and be photographed in impeccably clean clothes and wellies pretending that they are so fucking cool and 'get' Glasto.

How many times do you actually see any of the these celebrities in the flesh though? In all my years I think I can count the number I've seen on one hand. Them being there doesn't affect our Glasto experience in any way.

Like anything that wishes to continue, Glastonbury is going to have to embrace new festival goers or it will simply end. Hopefully it will never become another blatant corporate festival.

In reality, how many real c**ts are there at Glastonbury now? Well it all depends on your definition of a c**t. But I bet 99% of the time, what you think makes a c**t, has been thought of about you by different generations.

And have we really all turned out that bad?

That said, the younger generation of today are all c**ts ;)

In a climate where patently inferior fest's like Reading are getting heat for the "maleness" of their line up, it's a real "fuck all ya'll" power move for Glastonbury to have the pre-eminent female pop star in history close out their shindig.

It's not that.

They don't affect me when I'm there either.

It's the fact that each of those tickets could go to a much more deserving person.

I despise celeb culture and the status given to these morons.

Giving them free tickets to Glasto is ridiculous when you see the hassle the rest of us has to go through.

I know celebs have always benefited from such perks but the older I get, the more it irks me.

You have the right to vent about these things as you age!

I recently entered my 30's and now I loathe 90% of people under 25. With their stupid clothes, stupid haircuts and shit music...

I love that people keep sharing this video with the intended message 'Kany West is an idiot lol!' rather than 'Paparazzi really are awful, aren't they?'

My intended message was actually. "didn't your mother ever tell you to look where your going?"

At the end of the day if your an attention seeking self obsessed fool you'll have paps on your back 24/7 by no fault that your own.

How much of your time is taken up searching 'Glastonbury' on Twitter Matt? Must take an age to sift through everything to find these tiny shreds of nothingness.

you may as well go into the pub and shout..

'ANYONE KNOW WHEN THE GLASTO LINE UP IS OUT?'

some drunkard is bound to give you a response...

Good to see someone embracing their inner grumpy old man.

Play middle age bingo and say any of below-

(1) You call that music, we had proper bands/ music/ lyrics when I was younger

(2) You can't go out dressed like that or you will die of exposure or get arrested for it

(3) I remember when Glastonbury was better because it was smaller/ was less commercial

Point 3 is shite by the way because whilst it would have been less commercial in the past, you also run the risk of having the Levellers headlining

Anyway have fun

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
