What's all this with secret resales? Is that an actual thing?

Yes, it's a real thing, for the tiny final allocation of tickets and eleventh hour refunds. They don't announce them usually, or if they do they're gone with a minute or two. Someone here has a tech-savvy way of being on top of this, but it will need you to be alert to what's going on all day everyday until you get one. It's hectic, but it's worth it if you can get that golden ticket.

What an absolutely nerve-wracking morning. Five pages open across two browsers and not a sniff of the booking page. Luckily one of my group managed to sneak in and get the three tickets we needed. Still riding the adrenaline high. I may need another coffee.

Congratulations and commiserations, people.

Didn't think it was going to be my year - but I'm going!!! Sorry for those unlucky this morning, but do try the secret sales in May, week after final returns. Just need to monitor page during working hours - I got a couple for friends that way .

Same here! So frustrating :(

What's all this with secret resales? Is that an actual thing?

Tickets can still be cancelled until sometime in May, so clusters randomly go on sale but there's no announcements. A couple of years back my partner got one in May, complete chance

You can use sites like Follow That Page, although I'd get an account which checks more often than mine,it's not actually told me that tickets went on sale, but it has told me that the page has changed to 'worthy view car park only' so not very helpful

Nice work!

Is it the Glasto page you need to monitor or this one?

That was a really horrible resale. Everything's been so quick this year.

Congratulations to all those who got tickets - lots of my favourite posters too, which is great to see - and commiserations to those who did not. Alas! All is not yet lost. You'll get there.

Success here, though not myself but the ones needing tickets who live within miles of the festival and failed to notice the locals sale! Edjuts. With the slowest internets in the world and just one browser and f5 too

Phew. I didn't see a thing, nasty. URL was different too 850009 not 2 wonder if that's what kicked me back out

Did anyone else have problems adding a parking ticket to the purchase?

When I added a parking ticket it changed it from three registrations to one. When I finally thought to remove the car parking ticket and proceed to buy they had sold out.

Gutted for the group I was trying for as they're still not going and they've tried in every sale and resale :(

So my friend got us tickets but selected child instead of adult for one by accident... do you think seetickets wil be ok editing that?

Yup give them a call sooner rather than later and they can sort it.

That was brutal. 5 or 6 of us trying for 3 tickets, all of us got stuck on the holiding page loop. Well done to everyone that got them though, you can relax and enjoy your Sunday now.

    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
    • Glasto loves a come back act - how about the Rapture?
    • Yeah mentioned in the park thread but feel more Woodsies to me
