The London Electric Ballroom gigs are all sold out , seeing her there on the 10th April, can't wait, though the venue does seem a bit of a dive, though I've not been before , 1000 max so should be sweaty!

good venue, but there are pillars around the place which can block the view a little if you're right at the back. so perhaps get there a bit early.

does anyone else find her lyrics a bit annoying ('give me all your money/and i'll make some origami, honey')?

I find the lyrics to that song quite poinient ( spelling! ) , at the right time when people are lording her up in the media she is trying to put a dampner on it by saying don't make me out to be better than I think I am, just saying that if you throw money at me i'll treat it with contempt and make origami of it, quite humourous I thought

i really like her lyrics, they're one of my favourite things about her music, there such a deep level of dismissive sarcasm to a lot of her stuff and it really works

i'm really looking forward to the album coming out so i can give it some proper attention, I've listened to the stream a few times and quite enjoyed it

Finally got round to giving her a listen this morning.

Completely different to what I was expecting, some really good stuff.

Hope she plays another set as well as her Pyramid set.

I really enjoy her stuff. Is she actually confirmed to play the Pyramid as per the line-up page? I know there's talk of giving people a leg up, but it seems a huge setting for her style

She played two last year so she might though i suspect one Pyramid slot, just glad i got a ticket to see her at her own show, like with the War on drugs last year i suspect the early slot she'll no doubt get will not be that she should have, although i'm hoping for a mid afternoon slot and not too early when they'll be a reletively small crowd on such a big stage

I agree that it doesn't suit her style but played 2 different stages last year (good crowds at both) so it's likely she'll be on the Pyramid

Emily name dropping her like she did too smells of Pyramid. I think Other would 've a bit better but any extra publicity for a doll like Courtney is wicked.

Raining on the parade once more, but I've tried again and am only getting moderate enjoyment from C. Barnett. The songs are fair to middling - if occasionally pretty good - but more often than not they're a bit hamstrung by unimaginative Modern Lovers / grunge-lite arrangements. I can see myself giving her the benefit of the doubt on the day, but I'm far from smitten by it.

Bagged myself a ticket for her gig in Melbourne in May. I haven't heard the new album but I'm taken with the EP's so I'm looking forward to it. I do think it's something you have to sort of 'get into' to enjoy. Outside the lyrics I agree the songs could be taken as a bit average, but as a whole package her stuff is great!

Agree the songs are decent but nothing special, but there is something about her attitude I find really endearing.

Definitely want to see her this year as missed her last year (can't remember what for, do recall being in 2 minds between her and someone else and the walk up to the park being my deciding factor against Courtney).

I know we've not had the line-up, but I already know she'll be in my 5 top must sees.

The new record is brilliant, and the orange vinyl pressing is one of the best bots of wax I've had for ages. Listened to it three times today.

Just spoke to Courtney at this album launch thing. Literally had no idea what stage they're playing at Glastonbury but seemed fairly ecstatic when I said I'd heard it was Pyramid
