Did see Blur though, first time in 10yrs.. They were stunning and yeh man, the crowd were charged..

Was with a pal for Blur, when they walked off after The Universal I was just standing, staring at the pyramid sort of shocked.. Turned to my mate and said 'I think we've just seen been in one of those Glastonbury moments'

He simply replied, 'eh'

I watched the Prodigy in 2009. Absolutely no regrets on that.

If Blur do play, I will more than likely watch them this year. I only want one Pyramid headliner to watch.

Me either, loved the Prodigy gig. My choice was made on the fact that I had seen Blur a few times, and I had never seen the Prodigy and really fancied it. plus I don't like the Pyramid stage. Blur did looked class though..

As for Neil Young, I must have watched Q-Tip! I have no idea, but I know I was at West Holts that evening, I do remember hanging out with a dude dressed like a wizard and some of his pals, smoking some pretty potent cigs!! I woke up with sheets of A1 pieces of paper with song lyrics on all over the tent!! Man, I fucking love Glastonbury.

I've just had a mail from a long-time contact who I've not heard from for years, who tells me that he bumped into someone with a strong Glasto connection the other day, who told him the in-house rumour was Blur.

It may or may not be true. I've had stuff that indicates it's definitely not Blur, tho currently I'm siding with something else which is seemingly suggesting that it is.

Would like to see Blur but there is absolutely no way I'm paying £80 for a general admission ticket, worlds on it's arse when you've got to pay that sort of money to see Blur play.

Especially at 73dB! Criminal.

I think Damon's gone a bit (further) up his own arse with this one. They're not an £80 band. Its good sing-a-long music if you're pissed up.

Loads of gig ticket prices are over-inflated in recent years, I suppose that's where the acts really earn their dough. Does, however, mean that those who aren't necessarily as well off (particularly youngsters like me) can't really get to see the 'big acts' anymore. Even the mid-size acts are taking the mickey a bit, £35/40 for academy shows is too much.

That's why I'm very grateful to have Glastonbury. It's worth it without the acts, but makes me laugh when people say 'but Glastonbury's so expensive' when they're shelling out c. £100 a ticket for the acts' own gigs.

It's not just youngsters! There is no way I could justify paying £80 to see blur. £160 for the missus too. It's absurd.

I could just about justify it for a huge production like roger waters doing the wall at wembley stadium. But for 4 tits stood on stage? no chance.

War on drugs is costing £23 to see them at brixton tonight. That's about right.

Yeah its a travesty to be honest, I can understand paying £60 for a Royal Albert Hall gig as it was a charity show, but £80 is a nonsense unless they have a very strong line up for the rest of the day.

Without wanting to get all 'in my day' about it, I remember when I started going to gigs regularly which was about 10 years ago, you could see pretty much any sized act for £30 or less. I remember being a bit annoyed that tickets for Smashing Pumpkins at the o2 were £35, and most of my mates backed out of seeing Radiohead after finding out tickets were going to be £50. I understand that a lot of musicians make their money this way but it's a pretty dreadful business model if your target audience can't afford to attend shows. I guess this is what you get when people stop paying for music.

I'm pretty sure it's a lot of people's justification for Glastonbury, that they wouldn't be able to afford to see such acts at their own gigs/tours. Festival still represents great value to me, particularly if you take the view that 3 Blur sized headliners alone would cost you the ticket price.
