My first two trip s to Glastonbury were 97 (with just trainers and black bags for footwear) & 98 and I gladly returned every year but 2007 really tested that resolve.

 

It jut felt so relentless and everything was just so awful. I still remember walking along the track thinking I don't think I can do this anymore.

 

When ticket day came around I was back on the horse and i've yet to miss one. So even when you are right in it and it feels awful come October you'll still be desperate to join the scramble no matter what the weather was like.

 

My first two were 97/98.  Did a few then took a break until 07 - imagine how I felt!

I found some data for 2013:

 

 

Loving these graphs, as I'm starting a Mathematics Masters next year they're like porn to me.

Nice to see that today (or maybe yesterday as there's no x axis points labelled) is the only time (since being within a decent range) of the predicted rainfall being less than last year. I'm getting a bit hopeful but I can see us ending up with ~15mm which is about a 3rd of last year. That should be easy to deal with

 

That or we're going to get a massive upward spike in the predictions in the next few days like last year

I think the 12z GFS looks better - seems to be pushing the low pressure back maybe...

Latest GFS run is out. Pretty much the same as earlier - a bit of rain early on Friday and not much else except some potentially on Sunday. It has Monday's rain to mostly miss the site and head south now though which is positive too.

Based on today's readings I'd expect Jackones rating tonight to be back around the 5 mark.

I found some data for 2013:
