That needs to be 3-5 degrees hotter for my personal liking. 18 is just a bit too cold for hanging around outside all day.

that'l feel well into the twenties in the sunshine without too much wind. lovely

If its above 12 then its time for shorts and warm beer :-)

Bloody Northerners. There are times when I visit home and my mum will be saying how it's a lovely warm day and I'll be freezing a tit off. I need my insulating London smog.

When do the Netweather guys get involved and start doing the break down of the geeky stuff I don't understand most of the time?

The weather charts don't go any further than 16 days ahead.

Obviously the further you go from the current day the lower confidence is in terms of what the chart is saying actually happening.

The charts are updated 4 times in a 24 hour period and can vary significantly each time.

Basically the rule of the weather thread (as most already know) is to not take anything to seriously until the Sunday before the festival. There will be highs and there will be lows so just enjoy it :)

Luckily at Glastonbury you always have your beer/cider coat on to keep you warm

Yes.

There will also be occluded fronts and there will be temperature inversions. There may be some clouds, the occasional precipitation and early morning mist and fog patches.

Yep, I think that just about covers it.

Oh, and long unbroken sunny periods too, of course.

    • Aldous Harding absolutely brilliant in Dublin last night. Quirky as ever but sounded magnificent. Played everything off the new album I think, it all sounded fantastic. Band, including H Hawkline, were understated but excellent. Another one to look forward to.
    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
