Glastonbury is THIS YEAR, we're at the home stretch. To help lift the spirits of all those who will be getting tickets in the resale (yes, will be getting tickets), here is a thread of positiveness and good vibes where we can keep each other going, share helpful information and tip, etc.

Good luck all of you - I managed it last year by going for a coach travel + ticket package. Fingers crossed for everyone who's going to try this year's resale.

Hopefully 4th time lucky. Despite not enjoying my first Glastonbury much, I'm even more keen than before to again without having to work.

Also worth reiterating that it pays to keep the faith after the main resale. Loads of people in the huge ticket group I'm in got lucky in the following weeks, whereas I'd already bottled it and paid a volunteers deposit.

Apart from an elite sect who will be successful in the secret resale, they are the most glorious of all.

A group of us all managed to get tickets in the resale in 2014. My two friends got the coach packages, then I got a normal ticket in the resale after that. I imagine it around 30 seconds before it announced they were sold out. Was absolutely terrifying.

Fair enough though - that initial long trek in with all your stuff from one waypoint to the other, first across acres of fields often unhelpfully sloping and threatening to upset trolleys, then through seemingly miles of pedestrian contraflow systems dying for a piss by this time and regretting all those cans you downed out of boredom earlier before people started moving, then finally squeezing everything through the checkpoint Charlie ped gate after a frantic panic rummage for the ticket only to be faced with a long drag to camping which already looks totally rammed at a distance......

Wouldn't miss it for the world

Checking in for the resale support group, after a few month's absence! Given myself a good dose of positive thinking over the Christmas break when I realised the resale is only really a few weeks away!

Does anyone know/have a good guess of when the resale date is likely to be? Am planning a holiday in April and don't want the dates to clash (as my friend is notoriously sh*te at being on the ball with tickets). On the other hand am feeling quite apprehensive seeing as the main sale went in 10 minutes, and would be gutted if I made my holiday shorter just to miss out on tickets anyway.

got my ticket in the resale in '13 (incredibly easily, may i add) so know it's possible, but with the main sale selling out so fast this time round i'd be lying if i said i wasn't bricking it a bit

I'm happy to help on either day, if I can. Got mine in the coach sale in about 2 minutes last year so it can be done!!

yeah will be trying - after 10 years success I was actually telling friends I reckon I would miss out and boom it happened!

What will be will be - if I get them I will be chuffed if not devastated but I can only do what I can do and give myself the best chance of getting one. And I only need 1 as I am going solo.

Be vigilant with the 'secret resales' - they're not even secret. They'll tell you which week they're going to release 'the last few tickets'. If it's possible that you can stay in front of or near a computer during a week in mid-May then I can pretty much guarantee you'll get a ticket...
