R.I.P Andrew Kerr

My neighbour Andrew Kerr has sadly passed away. Without this man's vision and energy the festival would not be as it is today.

He will be greatly missed.

That's the saddest news I've heard for a long time. He was a really nice bloke and was always happy to chat about 'How it used to be'.

This is very Sad news. Camp near him every year and with his group one year.

A really lovely Man and will be sadly missed. As said without him (and Arabella) Galstonbury would not be here I don't think.

Enormously sad to hear this news. He was truly a vital force in the making of Glastonbury. He'll be sadly missed by many and I'm sure that, like Arabella, he'll be fondly remembered.

EDIT: I just read that he died at Yeovil hospital. Everyone there was truly kind and caring to me when I was there in June. I'm sure he was treated with warmth and kindness by the staff there.

I'm raising a toast to him as I write this. Whatever your thoughts on the subject of ley lines and earthly energy streams, no-one can deny he picked a hell of a spot for that pyramid stage, plus of course, he designed the shape of one of the most recognisable, iconic structures in festival and music culture. As if that wasn't enough, he stuck with the idea of the festival through all the years it was losing money, determined it would eventually succeed.
