kingcrawler
Just perusing the IOW forums and apparently Giddings ruled out Kasabian nearly a month back on Facebook. I don't have access to his Facebook page but could anyone verify that? Surprised as I thought they were nailed on. Green Day are being bandied about quite a bit. Maybe the delay is due to replacing them or seeing what happens with them regarding the touring guitarist's illness. Though I think if they were touring in June they'd stopping by at a few more festivals that have already announced their headliners. Had a quick look on his facebook for that but can't see any mention of Kasabian from him. The only thing is in the comments of a link (he posts a lot of links) to an NME article about the NME Awards someone says "john said want kasabian luc .rumours flying around that may be greenday". Muppetmark
Billie posted a picture of green day 15 but they'll start any tour off in the states so I think iow is too soon. Maybe next year

dentalplan
Think Giddings might have said Counting Crows were Friday.

thetime
Has Ash been confirmed as big top headliner? Can't see it myself. They didn't headline a few years ago and if anything have got even less popular, would be a fantastic placement though.

dentalplan
There was a massive gap between the headline announcements last year and I don't think it was a result of acts dropping out. TheSilence
Macca, Prodigy/Black Keys and Fleetwood Mac would be far too strong, surely?
thetime
Can't see 2 legendary headline acts playing the same year. They do seem to do that though, so you could be right. I'm still going for Coldplay. Edited February 5, 2015 by thetime
seanz25
Gonna throw this out there Foo Fighters at Wembley is a week later than this. The Saturday of all there previous gigs has featured a huge artist come out and play with them. Say Green Day do IOW like many are predicting this would make perfect sense for them to then go play with Foo's. They'd realistically only be the big enough band around at the time in the UK to do it with Foos plus both are good friends. Maybe the deal is just taking more time to sort than they expected? From what has been said one of the big European festivals had Green Day back in 2013 and supposedly by far the most expensive band on the bill. So potentially this is a factor holding it up from the deal being closed? Idk just a theory.

DomDom1984
I'd be stunned if Green Day did any major shows anywhere in 2015.

DomDom1984
I've got more chance of shagging Jennifer Lawrence than Green Day supporting anyone.
