I just feel she'd be a bit of a downer to headline, she'd do best in a sunset slot

Edit: Dolly Parton was the biggest act this year and she didn't headline

Legends slot tho. Adele is one of the biggest acts on the planet right now, and a live rarity. She's headline, millions would watch on telly, tickets would be hellish to get hold of the year after.

Paramore will never headline (probably) Glastonbury. Surely Eavis knows they are a certain band for a certain type of festival unlike QotsA, who could fill Metallica/perhaps having heavier rock acts headline.

We'll get a recycled act, a new one & a legend next year.

a lot of the group i went with this year said they wouldn't be returning next year 'unless Fleetwood Mac headline' so they're definitely a big draw, although it's gotten to the point now when i'm just waiting for them to headline just to get them out of the way, so i hope they do play next year, so that that's them done with

Baffling. Where do you meet these people?

to be fair most of these people were in their late forties (friends parents) and so kind of done with the whole festival / camping thing. said they still loved it but it was getting less exciting each year. them being in their late forties also meant they were prime Fleetwood bait

these people also never left the Pyramid stage for the entire weekend and thought i was being really antisocial by going off and doing my own thing for a lot of the day because i didn't fancy watching Lily fucking Allen

When was the last time somebody went from subbing the Other one year to headlining the Pyramid when they next came back two years later?

Not that I'm suggesting it's impossible, I'd say it's possible Paolo Nutini will do it, just wondering if there's a precedent.

Mumford & Sons subbed Other in 2011 - returned to headline Pyramid in 2013

not a chance Foals are gonna headline in 2015 though. Mumford & Sons made almost unprecedented jumps in popularity from album one to two - something Foals don't have a chance in hell of doing in one album's time. reckon Foals will be third on Pyramid - sub at a big push, if they're anywhere at all

I'm not really expecting him next year, tho if he continues to go how he has (as one of the UK's most popular acts) I really wouldn't be surprised if he headlines in 2016 .... particularly as his booking agent is one of the more chummy agents with the Eavii (he's normally one of the 'Emerging Talent' judges).

I dunno. His slot this year was kinda shit for him. Going from third down Pyramid to subbing Other is at best a sideways move and as the story goes they would have been looking for an Other headliner for Saturday late in the game and didn't promote him. I'm not convinced.

I feel like Foals will almost definitely headline the other stage next year, they're headlining bestival this year, and are becoming more of a headline-worthy band than a middle-of-the-day one.

Plus I have a big hunch that Foo Fighters are going to headline next year, with a new album coming out around the same time in the year as Arcade Fire's last year.
