What about BST? I still think she's more likely than Fleetwood Mac and Blur where band members have both ruled themselves out of doing it (Mick Fleetwood and Dave Rowntree). She's the rumour that won't go away, has been for a while and no information at all suggests it won't be her.

BST is sold out. Her rumour had gone away before you mentioned it. :P

Yet even after this you know her fans will still maintain she isn't making increasingly desperate attempts to stay in the news because of shocking record sales..

She was doing alright when she kissed Britney and Christina Aguilera wasn't she? :P

The main thing against Blur is that they denied that they were playing. But things may have changed since then if this late booking stuff is to be believed, and some people may be more comfortable outright lying rather than trying to avoid answering the question with a straight answer.

Taylor has sold out Hyde Park, so there'd be no reason to hold up announcing her with the rest of the line up, if the bit of info suggesting the 3rd headliner announcement is delayed is to be believed. My best hope now is that she's subbing the Foos on Friday.

Mr. November told us a while back that Flo is subbing the Foos and now it seems Flo isn't gonna headline then that'll probably be true. I initially thought she'd headline Friday so she could party the rest of the weekend so subbing Friday makes more sense than Sunday.

Maybe Swift can open the Other Stage on Friday. :ninja:

She's still on the rumored page on here. As I said, I dearly hope it isn't her but who else has got other shows to play who it could realistically be? I know she's sold it out but there could be other stipulations preventing her being announced. Blur and Fleetwod have ruled themselves out. The Strokes? Not big enough. Madonna? Has that rumour got any legs? Edited by MichaelsBeard

Gonna be Taylor Swift isn't it. Every caveat of information points to her - free that day, female act that Emily talked about, got other shows that can stop her being announced, solo performer with a band... The only thing even kind of ruling her out is the fact she'd be doing 4 nights in a row which I can't see being a problem.

Dearly hope it isn't her though!

i don't think Emily said anything about a female act, and her BST show is already sold out, so no reason to wait until June to announce it, especially as the gig is during Glastonbury, so it's not like they're going to announce her on the Sunday morning...

Blur and Fleetwood Mac HAD ruled themselves out but last week everything changed.

This weekend the Blur website has changed and the 'these are the only UK festivals' text has gone.

If you take every bit of new info and reasons for the delay then there are ticks next to pretty every one for Blur.

The others have few or no ticks.

I may be wrong - but it is Blur.

she's on the rumour page because there has been info that she may be playing at Glastonbury.

the 3rd headliner will apparently be held off until June because of other gigs, that doesn't fit with Taylor Swift.

if she's appearing, it will almost certainly be somewhere other than Sunday headliner. Friday subbing seems the most likely option.

no it hasn't.

http://www.blur.co.uk/news/blur-headline-isle-wight-festival-june-13-21706

"Blur are confirmed to headline the Isle of Wight Festival on Saturday June 13. Tickets are available now at www.isleofwightfestival.com/tickets

With BST Hyde Park on June 20 - ticket still available at www.bst-hydepark.com - this completes the band's UK festival appearances for 2015."

Seems an awfully short space of time from them last playing. I don't think they'd want to potentially soil what was a perfect show for them.

That said, I'd love to see them again.

if they were booked initially, then yes, i'd agree with you, but considering this looks to be a 'do us a favour again Damon' type booking, then it's either get Blur who have headlined recently but will please a LOT of people, or settle for a lesser headliner (although, as many have said, why they wouldn't just boost Florence up is puzzling - perhaps both parties don't think she's up to it)

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.

    • Knocked Loose have been announced for Wacken, that's them at Bloodstock as well   I think they'd headline over Malev
    • I hate tradmill running with a passion lol. Yeah the 1km reps are the one along with hill reps. That's what I did last time.  It's very a very hot summer and job circumstances to stay at the consistent level I was for the marathon earlier in the year. I've got a full set of the main distance new PBs this year. 10k isn't a problem most days but even today I went out deciding just over 5 mile was enough between recovery cruise and steady.
