Anyone moaning about the line up, I'm sure Deacon Blue headlined the 1st year I went ffs and I had a wicked time and have done every year since.

I used to chase the festival around seeing as many bands as I could. Now I let the festival come to me and quite happy to skip headliners to watch something crazy.

It's going to be Prince btw with announcement tomorrow. (Just a guess)

It's a bit shit though isn't it, they're essentially using the deposit scheme as some sort of reservation so they can make up their spoilt minds when they decide what they want to do... meanwhile there are people who would go without even one band announced, struggling to get tickets as a result.

This is a bit unfair. The deposit scheme is exactly what it says on the tin. As with anything you put down a deposit and then decide if you want to/are still able to go and forfeit it you can't. If it wasn't meant to work this way they could stagger payments from October onwards and not offer refunds. It works the way it's supposed to.

I haven't paid up and it now looks like I'm not going. I'm desperate to go regardless, having been every year since 2009 but I have to accept that for my friends it's different. One of them is self employed meaning that the cost of him going to Glastonbury isn't just the ticket price, travel, food and beers it's the lost wages as if he doesn't work he doesn't get paid. 5 days at Glastonbury cost him well over a grand and he'll still have rent etc to pay in the meantime. Normally he's up for it anyway but this year he was already feeling like he might like a year off and save the money for something else, like visiting his best mate who moved to Bangkok last year, and the lack of the line-up has convinced him that he doesn't want to commit. I'm still hoping it'll be released with time for me to convince him, but that looks increasingly unlikely and I'm not going to be able to go on my own. For the record I don't think this makes either of us spoilt.

OMG TINIE TEMPAH!! And The Fratellis!! Life really doesn't get much better.

As well as SFA, Flaming Lips, Primal Scream, Bassment Jaxx, Ray Davies etc.

It was more the comment that 'us poor bastards at Glastonbury stuck with Kanye." Like there isn't anywhere else to be, that made me laugh. What a grade a pillock

seen a few people hating on The Chems, don't understand it they're awesome!

been getting right back in to the Chems lately and i forgot how much i love em. We Own The Night wasn't the best but all of their other albums are pretty decent (with a couple of real classics in there). gutted that i'll almost definitely be missing them at Glastonbury, but hopefully going to Bestival as well so shall see em there!

    • as if by magic... (but don't tell anyone that it isn't that easy to just cut welfare and that maybe taxes will have to go up)
    • Lost my love of football years ago so I pay very little attention to it these days but I'm really enjoying Max Rushden's video diaries of his flat share with Barry Glenddening. I think Barry might kill him before the end of the tournament
    • Not sure if we had a si glow weekend goer on here last year so will be good to have a proper review of the new format
