when do you think michael will full on pack it in and Emily will be show runner?

my impression of Michael is that he's a very hands-on type of character, so i'm not sure he'll ever stop being involved.

Until the last day or two I was starting to think his role was pretty minimal now tho - but if what i've heard is right, he's still personally booking some acts. But mostly it's Emily and Nick now, I think.

TBC on the rumour page Couchy.. How do you feel now?

TBC already

Sweet. TBH I never check that page & come straight on here.

Edit: I feel good, at work booking my internal flight from Bangkok to Koh Samui.

What's happened to the AC/DC rumour then? Who is the band Eavis mentioned about being British but not British any more or something?

That could have been Fleetwood Mac as well of course.

But don't pay too much attention to Michael's quotes. I've been warned off them.

And because another well-known beat combo is doing it instead, and will be announced tomorrow, of course.

Rob da Bank has supposedly said Flo isn't doing bestival.

Are you saying you know the final IOW headliner? :P

Flo can't do IoW cos she's in the states. And because another well-known beat combo is doing it instead, and will be announced tomorrow, of course.Rob da Bank has supposedly said Flo isn't doing bestival.

Ah ok. So that only leaves Glasto as her one UK festival. But as a sub or other headliner (unles things have changed since emily interview)

That would suggest the final headliner is more worthy than Florence.

Which doesn't change much haha. But I now know the lower limit of what to expect

I quite like the last KOL album, it's the one that has Sex on Fire that killed them as a band for me, and the reason i'd avoid them at a festival is because of the shower of shite that is on that album.

Come around sundown was the one that knocked them from my fave band list. Only by the night had some stinkers on it mind. It also had some decent tracks. The first three albums are fantastic.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
