I think we've managed to whittle it down to ANY band/artist that isn't on the line up this year .. Regardless of size/status/schedule etc

Pete Doherty (solo and with libertines) is playing gigs on 25th, 28th, 29th June and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th July in the uk.

Leaves a gap for the Friday morning, not playing Thursday night as they'll be playin at 11am Friday.

It's got to be the libertines

Anyone who lives near to Bristol and likes the Libertines....

3rd July at The Fleece Pete Doherty is playing a 'solo' gig.

Could well not be solo as it is 2 days before Hyde Park

He'll still be up from Thursday.

His management won't have much say in what they do.

Will also give them media exposure to sell tickets to their European tour.

Although Pete is still a daily drug user, he's not as unreliable as he used to be

They've already announced two gigs at the Barrowlands as warm up though. They're on the Saturday & Sunday of Glasto so not sure if it makes sense for them to warm up for the warm ups by playing a show to potentially 50,000 people??

I bet after this it's going to be bloody Coldplay again.

It's important to remember that probably more than 50% of people who go to Glastonbury are from the North.

So dismissing bands like Courteeners, purely because people from the South don't like them, is just not good grounds for getting on your pedestal. For What it's worth, i don't think it'll be them
