The Worst Thing About Festivals?

I was wondering what the worst things are that people find about festivals? Sure, the toilets and prices are your run of the mill complaints - as are the choice of lineup.

For me I think it's the irony of a perfect, hot sunny day. This inevitably leads to drinking more cider than on a wet, muddy day... then waking up the next morning with a killer hangover, suffocating in the hellish inferno of a tent! Or perhaps wrapping yourself up nice and warm at night, finally getting into your sleeping bag - only for your bladder to THEN decide it wants emptying again. lol

What's your personal pet hate?

The drive home on the Monday is an absolute killer. Totally exhausted and a massive downer about going back to reality for another year.

Carrying stuff from the car park to the campsite. That's the only bit I really dislike. Even the toilets aren't as bad as you think they're going to be, unless I've just been lucky with my festival choices.

I would agree with the above, the prevalence of dubstep at all festivals now is a bit of a bummer (I expect it sounds a lot better when on drugs) but I fear that's just me being miserly. Mainly just down to taste, as I never really 'got it'.

I dislike the ubiquity of the festival 'costume', ergo mass produced stick on bindis, feather headdresses et al.

And packing up the tent & carrying your stuff back to the car early doors on Monday is absolutely horrendous, bleurgh.

Have to say the feeling of not having a ticket is pretty low! luckily got one yesterday so have to say the tent being ridiculously hot from stupid o'clock so you get like 3 hours sleep after stumbling in from SE corner at another stupid hour!

Sleeping, for some reason, no matter what, my right leg always cramps up when I sleep on air beds/the floor/what ever I put down when I'm camping. This hurts and stops me from sleeping and then for a good hour or two the next morning my leg is killing me.
