Dairy isn't going to have as much space this year, but I reckon this change is going to make it a really good place to be. Its a big field field so can cope with the spillover from park home. Arcadia will change the vibe of the park at night tho. The Bimble's going to he heaving!

Last year there was loads of space out towards Gate A, even on the Thursday it wasn't that bad, so there is space for people to migrate to, its just whether people will be willing to do that.

Personally I've always camped in Bushy Grounds (opened up in 2010 I believe?) It's a good location if you want a bit of space but want to still be close to some of the main stages (JP, Silver Hayes and Other)

yes it was a Crew only area in 2009 although it was not the whole field - part of it may have been a car park .
some people climbed over the wall - not appreciating they had to have a pass ' to leave that field ' so they were caught.
shot below is how it looks when the gates open - if I was parking next to Gate D that without a doubt is where I would camp.

That would make sense why it was very dead in 2010, not many people knew about it! We got in at about 5pm on the Wednesday and there was too much space to choose from.

That's why we have just settled there as its near the gate where we get to the car. Although I have noticed it was a lot busier than this picture suggests last year. We got in at about 10am and there was quite a few people set up, especially at the top of the slope, rather than at the bottom near the river. People have slowly cottoned on to its convenient position.

Row Mead - last year, in anticipation of a rammed Pyramid field for the Stones, the front edge of Row Mead was pushed back 20 / 30 feet from the path that runs across the top.

This was great as it meant you didn't have to walk past the row of knob-heads who seemed to occupy the front spaces every year in that 'row'.

I see the last year map does not go into this level of detail, just showing the Row Mead as fronting onto the path.

Any knowledge or guesses as to whether the front row will be pushed back again?

Interesting - was hoping since they were moving Strummerville it might move to The Park and out of the naughty corner entirely as it never sat well there.

As for the space issue, the festival capacity hasn't gone up since 2007, during which time they've added pretty much all the camping space in the NW of the site (everything north of the railway line and west of gate 5 was added. That was all done to make it a bit less crowded, but there's clearly room to lose a little bit of space.

Big Lickle is odd. Issues with the land-owners, or emergency World Cup England game plan?

I think the camping issue comes down to 'how much extra walk are you prepared to make for more space and a quieter environment'? For me, it's quite a lot. The further out you go from the centre, the better deal you'll get on both fronts.

Almost definitely the land owner. Big/Little Lickle and Barren Ground were unavailable to the festival for quite number of years, and in the relatively recent past (2010+) where they have been used, there have been some very specific conditions attached. Reportedly during the festival last year there was a bit of a blow up involving the land owner, so it's no surprise to see it gone this time round.

Yeah, my friend who worked at the festival last year told me they were unhappy about the rubbish left behind, even by the crew camping, hence it not being used for anything this year. Seems plausible. Would mean having it as punter camping is an incredibly distant prospect :(
