Self Confirmed

North Mississippi All Stars have self confirmed for Friday 27th on the Avalon Stage on their website. They are touring with Robert Plant and the Sensational Shape Shifters at the time so it might (or might not) suggest Percy's about?

Link to their website here: http://www.nmallstars.com/tour-dates/

I was hoping to catch them over here so it looks like I'll have to get lucky in the resale.

heard loads about these when I lived in Nashville so I checked them out and liked it. One of them (Luther? ) played with Seasick Steve at his live Third Man Records show.

She talked about it again on BBC Breakfast this morning.

It's not on iplayer - was it another case of:

'I really, really want to play, it's the festival I really love. If Glastonbury are watching/listening please, please sign me up. I'm not on tour until the autumn so I have a gap, have I said I want to do it? Anyone from Glastonbury booking the acts listening, please?'

kind of thing again?

Or something more concrete?

No, she was certain. It went along the lines of "And you're playing Glastonbury this year?" "Yes, that's right." "What's it like? Do you get nervous?" "Well yes but I have done it several times before, it's great." "Do you try and see other acts when you're there?" "Often we are just in, set up, play, and out, but I do try and look around"

    • Phoebe Bridgers is £80 a ticket?!
    • Great, thanks for you answer. Then I'm on the same boat and we will buy hers through her separate account and ticket!   8th Primavera for us!
    • Location doesn’t matter too much, both events will draw a chavvy roadman crowd with this lineup, although Bramham Park is well out of the way so that’s an issue in itself but the day ticketers still turned up in droves last year.   The two issues for me are that at Leeds they’ve shoehorned random acts like Blossoms and Jamie Webster into a pop lineup, and price. It’s £130 a day for a lineup catered to teens who won’t be spending £50+ on beer per day. Is that sustainable for FR?
    • If its true and I'm not sure why it wouldn't be fron where I saw it and they were said to be playing ages its a shocking booking. The Fatboy of Glastonbury
    • I feel like it's just us being old tbh. Festival is doing fine. Never seen anything to suggest either site is doing badly, let alone on the brink of being scrapped.
