plaskins
Another track preview from Foster The People's new record has been released too. Any Temples fans on here? What do you make of the Album? Must be a gimme' for a Glasto appearance, right?
kingcrawler
Another track preview from Foster The People's new record has been released too. Any Temples fans on here? What do you make of the Album? Must be a gimme' for a Glasto appearance, right? I really like Temples album, probably my favourite album of this year so far. It's fairly consistent throughout, though the title track is the highlight for me.
suzie sue
Temples are fantastic, the feel of the music would be a perfect fit for glasto

Yesiamaduck
Just heard sun structures by temples for the first time In all seriousness I remember hearing 'Shelter Song' before The Great Escape because they were on the line up and was like 'yeah this sounds pretty good and bright, wears it's influences on it's sleeve but the is enough there to keep it interesting'. However this album is just basically like 'these guys don't have a single original idea do they?' it sounds like music any psych influenced band could've made if I'm totally honest, really dull and predictable. Not bad just outstandingly mediocre, which is a shame because as I said I really enjoyed 'Shelter Song' Edited February 22, 2014 by Yesiamaduck

Not bad just outstandingly mediocre, which is a shame because as I said I really enjoyed 'Shelter Song' Feel exactly the same way - scarily similar actually. I want to like them because Shelter Song was fairly good and those type of acts are usually quite interesting but I'll have to see if they sound any good live; which I've heard they don't particularly. I'm gonna throw a couple of other new revivalists into this thread. Cheatahs' eponymous album is quite good shoegazy lo-fi; if you like that sort of thing then you'll probably like that. I also enjoyed Skaters' album, got a decent rock sound but it's the sort of thing that'd probably be widely derided as 'indie landfill' so approach with caution. They're not gonna be topping end of year lists but I think they're decent freshman attempts from new acts that you may be able to catch early afternoon at festivals. rjb94
Wild Beasts sounded a little disappointing on first listen, given how good Wanderlust is. I was the same after the first (and second) listen, but it really grew on me after than, and I love it now. So don't give up on it.

JC-Mo'Fucka
somebody's been listening to Bon Iver's self titled album I think it's more heavily influenced by John Hopkins as he produced it. sounds more like a hopkins track than coldplay. zero000
Aye very heavy bon iver and Jon Hopkins influences, and actually surprisingly good for it. If the hipsters thought it was a new bon iver track they'd be wetting themselves over it.
