Have to admit I didn’t know who Kate Stables was but I enjoyed the guest appearance.

Will have to check her stuff out

This is the Kit are great. Quite folky compared to The National.

That was somehow my third time seeing her on stage this year as had just been up to their Crow's Nest performance which finished an hour before The National.

I hadn't seen The National since twice in about 2010 and wasn't expecting too much as after 2014 everything has left me pretty cold, but they were brilliant. Glad I went.

Is this going to get a physical release do you know? That's gonna be an expensive vinyl purchase (triple album at least), but one I'd have to buy!

Hopefully the full 26 song version will make it to streaming services.

I stuck their Other stage set on again after listening to the EP, definitely up there amongst the best sets I've closed the festival with, lovely memories.  One of the best crowds I've been amongst.

The tracklist preview on Spotify is missing Conversation 16, Deep End, The Day I Die, Space Invader and About Today.

Space Invader was great live when played at Ally Pally last year so that's a shame at the very least. About Today being recognised as one of their best live tracks makes that one also a harsh exclusion.

    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
