I think there's a many in the same boat about this across the land, it has changed a hell of a lot.

On the Drowned in Sound review of this year's festival it commented extensively on the changing face of Reading and how depressing it is that one of the world's legendary rock festivals has changed it's lineup from the one that used to cater mostly to the alternative crowd with Rammstein hoodies and tipp-ex on their backpacks to one for the Topman trendies having a post exam piss-up/rave.

The worst thing about reading is the posh rich sixth formers getting drunk away from mummy and daddy for the first time, thinking they are some sort of party animal.

I've had the misfortune of dealing with plenty every time I've been...

One girl got so drunk she set her hair on fire deliberately, now that's an accurate stereotype.

We met these guys (quite nice mind you) and we went with them to yellow after talking for around 1 and 1/2 hours and one of them see his mates and a girl comes up to them to ask if they were going to yellow and could they help them there. Half of our group go on ahead and we are left with his drugged up mates. Later on we find this girl in his tent about to do lines of MDMA after only meeting him 10 mins ago and her reason was that "she never tried it" :D

I doubt Kanye would bring a the same sort of crowd as Eminem/C&S, the place would just be awash with hipsters.

As for the retarded 'if they booked Eminem they could book Kanye because they're both hip-hop' argument, they're completely different artists with different images, audiences, festival histories and connections to the demographic. It's like saying 'if Green Day can headline then so can Nickelback because they're both rock music'.

Leeds is the same as Reading. Full of mongs who are away from home for the first time and think that gives them an excuse to make divs of themselves. Difference is, they're from places like Burnley, Hull and Preston...

Is it true the Yaya/Kolo Toure chant was commonly heard at Leeds this year? One of the most annoying chants in football, everyone else seems to love it though. You'd think Man City were the first set of fans to repeatedly chant a player's name, although I bet the people involved weren't even Citeh fans, but supporters of other clubs who have had them as their "second team" ever since they started winning trophies...

    • Do you think they'll release today's cupra pulse lineup?
    • I had a great time yesterday and came to the conclusion that everytime (or, more accurately, both times) I didn't have a great time at Primavera, it was water-related. Either there was too much of it (Thursday 2026) or there wasn't enough (Thursday 2022, week 1).
    • I sacrificed the first hour of the cure for Role model yesterday and oh man that was a good bet! That guy and his band are insanely good and an hour long only bangers!
