I can't help thinking that the announcement is dependent on the announcement for the Stones tour. If Glastonbury announce before the stones and e.g. they are in the US at the time of the Festival, then Glastonbury need to make a big announcement. If Glasto goes first and has the Stones then it puts the stones in the UK at the time and the Stones fans will find some reason or other to lose their sh*t with excitement/resentment.

Might not have explained it very well, but the upshot is, I blame the Stones.

Am secretly hoping there is no announcement tonight. I have been invited to a posh do with work, and always always say no to that type of networking malarky thing , but this time I have said yes, for one reason only - the dinner is for UN water day (?) and the speaker is someone from Wateraid - am actually really looking forward to hearing what he will say and learn some more about all they do...... it was that connection to Glastonbury that made me say yes (oops) - so please no announcement as I'll look ever so rude checking my phone all the time ;-)

I'd say that it very probably is - or at least, any Stones announcement is. I think it's hugely unlikely that Glastonbury will be allowed to announce the stones (if they are, of course) without the stones first or simultaneously announcing their full tour.
