The Non-Headlining Acts 2013

Personally, I hope not - and I say that being a HUGE Byrne fan.

I'd prefer that he didn't play with St Vincent, and instead either played next year solo or in 2014 solo ... if he plays with St Vincent then i'm guessing it's going to be a fair few years before he'd be back to do a storming Talking Heads set.

(And if he can squeeze in the raved up version of 'I Zimbra' that he was doing in his live shows in 1998, that would be mind-blowing biggrin.png)

True. I would much prefer them to play seperately, but I can't see that this year unfortunately.

Last time they played, The National headlined JPT didn't they? I don't think they're going to drop back down. I'd love to see them there, especially on Park, but I just can't see them doing it. Arcade Fire, Jack White, The National would make a great top three on Pyramid.

After every fallow year there are usually a few big changes. My hope is that the park gets an overhaul to improve the sound on the hill and add screens. I love the park, it has become one of my favourite parts of the site in recent years and a little more love could make it a stage that more prominent acts are keen to headline, thus helping to spread the headline crowds some more.

Yeah, I am more thinking about making the hill a place where you can enjoy good sound and have a screen and repeaters (where the ice cream van is at the base of the hill) so that those of us who like to park our arses on the hill and watch a band can enjoy it more is all.

    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
    • Couple of standing tickets left on ticketmaster if anyone is still trying
    • Choosing  I think boycotting a festival you would usually attend simply because you don't like one of the acts is pretty petulant to be honest, just go and watch a different stage. There are plenty of the usual slam dunk attendees who would be into him, as well as attracting new festivalgoers too.
