I don't think they'd go for Pulp as a headliner now anyway. I suppose they could have done it in 2011, but it seems the sheen has worn off their reunion and they aren't that big of a draw now they've done the rounds. How much credibility does that legendary set still give them nowadays? Not enough, IMO.

It wasnt exactly a farewell gig Pulp did, they played a week later on that Coachella cruise, and Jarvis has since said it'll be the last gigs for quite a while but he'd never rule out playing again. I can't see them playing any gigs in the next couple of years though, unless they're fooling us all.

Yes, but I feel the whole 'sailing off into the sunset' factor of the Coachella cruise may mean the end. Or will it? Basically, it has put doubt in people's minds as to whether they'll return - typical Pulp.If it had been Sheffield for the last show of the tour, the outcome of it all could be a little more definitive for the fans.

I think they will come back to Glastonbury at some point, though not this year. Possibly some new material and a Pyramid headline slot in the future.

Latest song from them in case anyone missed it, it's not bad at all:

Why is everyone so sure about The Rolling Stones? What's changed from a couple of weeks ago when most people thought Jagger wouldn't take a cut in appearance money?

I'm still far from sure.

An article in The Sun last week pretty much stated that they still haven't made up their minds, so it doesn't look like it sorted just yet.

Jarvis told me on the cruise that they don't have any gigs booked. I get the impression they're open to it again at some point because it's been so enjoyable, but are just going on hiatus again to not wear out their welcome or they have other things going on.

isn't it the way now that all these bands have reformed, they don't bother to split up again cos they know how lucrative it can be to do a few gigs every now and then.

Pulp will be back when the demand returns.
