Really can't see Minaj playing plays 20 minutes at a slot for T in the Park last year (Happy Mondays could have played longer still annoyed with that!) and cancelled her 2 appearances at V fests because of illness? Something tells me she doesn't like festivals. For example, being in proximity of mud.

I reckon that line up prediction is a bit mainstreamy, with lots of R&L/V bands, that admittedly do appear at the fest, but not to that extreme. Saying that, because of the range of music at glasto, it's almost impossible to start predicting entire line ups for stages let alone the whole fest. It would take a much wider encompassing knowledge of not just popular music, who is popular now, who's around touring, allowing for budget etc etc.

That being said, I'm sure plenty of those bands are gonna appear. Anyway :)

I'm also pretty sure we'll reach the 300 page mark. There's a good chance it'll leak here before they officially announce anything and that always whips up a shitstorm!!

20 minutes at T? That's awful, when I was watching highlights last year she came on and was hardly singing, and when she was it was a little painful to watch. Thought she might have been tired after an hour of performing live, but only 20 minutes? Jesus.

Dizzee Rascal, Chase And Status and Black Keys won't all headline Other. You have to remember Other is meant to be the leftfield choice to the commercial Pyramid, the almost "adult" choice.

You may have Dizzee or Chase (personally I doubt either of them) but you definitely won't have them both.

I'm hoping for Arctic Monkeys, Watch the Throne and The Stones to headline Pyramid and The Prodigy, The Black Keys and Dizzee Rascal on The Other.

As much as I like Radiohead I'd definitely consider them a safe booking. I'd much rather see Atoms for Peace take a smaller slot.

I think Eavii will leave Minaj alone for the pure fact that she's a little madam and fucking kryptonite for live shows, never turns up on time if at all and is reportedly abusive to staff. However, if there was a guarantee of her being punctual then I'd quite like to see her, we all like good music on here, there's not many that could be accused of just listening to chart shite, but if there's not a little bit of you that loves the odd bit of camp pop music then you're no friend of mine, son. Jessie J can feck off though, cannot stand that woman, there's nothing fun about her careerist attitude, she's that bitch at your office who just wants to be the best and get to the top to compensate for the fact she's thick and nobody likes her (you know there's at least one), but in the pop world. And she's got a nasty habit of aggressively shrieking random notes, that's apparently her idea of being a good singer, it's the equivalent of a footballer just doing a load of tricks instead of actually trying to score goals. Gahhh, who brought Jessie J up? She's bad for my blood pressure.

i can see Minaj taking Shakira's spot from '10 if she were going to play. not sure if i'd go and see her - i love Superbass. think it's an absolutely genius song. but she sure does have her share of absolute bollocks

Jessie J, on the other hand, is just terrible terrible terrible. i can't stand her. i would bad mouth her some more but i think this guy ^^^ has done it for me

There is no justification for liking Minaj in the slightest. I am no defender but at least she makes some attempt to sing live. (By sing i am meaning screech.)

Caught the end Minaj's set at Hackney weekend, terrible stuff just awful noise was blaring out the speakers

Someone suggested Justin Timberlake on the R&L threads (I think). Now that's pop I'd like to see.

Can't say people with tickets would "approve" of her booking after the media attention she received for the previously mentioned issues with her playing live. Glasto goers seem in the most part to be more ethical to who has been booked.

Kind of felt sorry for the people at TitP who were gagging, some interviewed getting day tickets just for her, to see her but left out in the rain waiting.

Still, she's certainly big enough to do a Shakira type spot.

Think that they should give the Shakira slot to Adele if they can persuade her. It'll be light so she'll be able to see everyone, get less nervous and would probably give a good account of herself.

If they can't get Adele then I could see Emeli Sande doing it. I know they are both a little far from the normal idea of a big female PURE POP artist a la Shakira but I think it's more appropriate at this very moment in time for who the UK would consider to be huge

well 'apparently' Adele was offered headliner but she turned it down. she just hates big audiences so a festival crowd in general would probably scare the living bajesus out of her. she's gonna have to get over that fear eventually, though, and headlining Glastonbury will probably be where it happens (maybe after the next album)

Emili Sande sounds about right for third down the Pyramid, although with only one album she'd be playing a hell of a lot of snorers (and it has a LOT). would be surprised if she isn't there and on the Pyramid
