One of my Team is a Huge Stones fan and does travel all over the World to see them { so he will see at least one concert per city and will even attend the rehearsal gigs in Canada } and he has even been able to wangle on the Stones guest list though his connections so if there is any truth in the claim that the Stones will be at Glastonbury 2013 then he is bound to hear about it.

first time I saw the Stones was in 1963/64 but never had the money to see them abroad but it would be a killer to see them at Glasto.

Thank God I don't need to worry about Glastonbury tickets as it will be murder.

I'm sure this is complete bull, but wow. If this happens it would be a dream come true for me, (in my opinion) the greatest band of all time ending a 50 (although really its 51) year reign at the best place on earth is to amazing to comprehend.

Saying that I'd probs go see them if nothing else amazing was on.

I could see them playing glastonbury as part of a farewell tour but i'm not sure they'd do it as the final gig of that tour. I'd expect them to finish off with their own gig...

Would love it though.

I'm very confident of getting my ticket *touches wood*, both years i have had my ticket signed and sealed by 9:05, so im not worried if my Internet stays good!

But with The Stones, their swanson will be a big show somewhere like Hyde Park, Knebworth where they can charge through the roof for tickets billing it as their 'farewell', sentiment? No not for them why play for £100k and be seen around the world when they can get 50,000 people paying £60+ to see em (That's £3m) if not more!

I heard an interview with Mick Taylor on Irish radio last week (hes still great mates with Bill) and he said thats not going to happen due to Bill being almost crippled with arthritis. He may play the odd gig I, which you would expect may include Glasto, but he wont be touring with them. Wyman older than the others. Hes 76 next year,

the way that story has been written it's only a few gigs anyway and not a tour (at least, not a tour in the normal Stones sense). So that makes it less of a load onto all the oldies.

I'd guess that Bill's playing isn't too bad despite the artritis, from him having supposedly jammed with them at the end of last year. I reckon he'll be involved at some level for all those dates, even if it's him being wheeled out to play on just a few songs.

    • You don't have to pay for an additional ticket but the front barrier at least is all controlled by security and a lot of people stay in there for the bigger acts so if you don't get there early enough you risk not being in there.   There is an option you can pay to have fast lane access priority which they suggest you arrive 30 minutes before a headline show but the first two sections are still even for them based on capacity. I did read that it's going very corporate and becoming too money money which I agree to an extent. There are points on the two biggest stages where not only accessing these bits is priority but dedicated quicker and direct access points for them too....but at €225 for the weekend I'm not sure I want to be pulled into that. I went with Three Days Grace, Linkin Park and Maiden being my must sees so I did what I had to for the latter 2 to get in to where I needed to. You do that too much though and it'll cost you your overall enjoyment of other bands there.   As an overall experience, it's definitely overrated to what I thought it would be. I will vouch for the food being decent.

    • The left for some reason is rammed 90% of the time. It's kind of bizzare to me but try it next year! Any friends I've said it to have agreed.    I guess it might be because the entrance from Cupra side is wider so more people flood in there.
