I worked Wilderness for Oxfam this weekend. I was very lucky as my shift was in the arena on Sunday afternoon & I saw all of Annie's set.

I echo every word. She was brilliant. The Legend slot is made for her.

I was there with Oxfam too! I got earlies so it was probably me who registered you on arrival 😀

Dokken are touring until the end of 26 and rumoured to be touring Europe in 2027 according to all the fan forums.

Don Dokken still has the serious pipes. Like the Stones though, they'll demand a (deserved) huge fee and probably massive stage alterations.

100k at this. The guys who dress up in the Redcoat costumes bonging faecal sludge from the longdrops.

Genuinley don't get all the Annie lennox fuss. Not saying she is bad but can think of other things that have happened on and off the pyramid that would have a much bigger lasting impression (on me). But horses for courses I guess.

Each to their own, by all accounts she's still got a belting voice live which some recent acts in the legends slot haven't, and shes got a back catalogue of bangers as she still plays The Eurythmics songs live.

She'd be an amazing choice

Grace Jones would be ace at West Holts. But she's apparently quite $$$.

Not $$$ enough to have stopped her playing a fair few smaller festivals over the past few years though, Love Supreme and Crystal Palace included, so its not out of the realms of impossibility for sure - West Holts on a friday night would suit a bit better than the pyramid stage mid-afternoon sunday

Not that it means much in comparison terms, but she was more expensive per ticket at the Piece Hall 2 years ago, than David Byrne was this year

I think - and admittedly im basing this on nothing more than what i think- she's more about the optics of headlining and being the big name on the poster, and while you can try and swing it as headlining a stage (was it Lana Del Ray who lost her sh*t at not being deferred to enough on the poster? i'm a headliner too, worship meeeee!) if she's competing against some other big names, she might not think its enough of a thing to do for what may well be under her usual payday.  There's the whole BBC coverage on free to air tv and renewed interest angle too . . . .

Annie Lennox doing "No More I Love Yous" on the Pyramid would probably be the pinnacle of the entire festival's history.

I'd enjoy Annie, but no way it tops 9 to 5 or All Night Long

    • I only camped in quiet camping once, it was the noisiest bit I've ever experienced! 🤣I think the problem is it's the first bit of the site you walk into and lots of people just dump themselves there! We camp in the top right of that map and find it pretty quiet, family/settlers' camping is very quiet apart from crying babies 😆
    • I didnt get mine until today so maybe they're being slow getting them out this time?  Either that or worth emailing them about it as ive seen theyve been able to sort it out according to other forums
    • Coachella can pay at least $10 mil usd. That doesnt count merch sales. Adidas has collabed with the festival before so Oasis x Adidas x Coachella  collection will be a hot commodity. If Justin Bieber can rake in $15 million in merch sales, why cant Oasis bring in half that and thats another way to pay them? Just gotta be creative with the financials.
    • Over £400. and everyone in here owes me for beating the odds of it crossing that threshold in under 5 years. Gonna close out the decade at £475 and then we can discuss whats priced out and what isnt.
