David Byrne in Glasgow tonight, incredible performance!! Saw the American utopia tour , this was next level, for a talking heads fan this was as near perfect as you’d hope for. Kinda speachless as we were leaving the venue

Saw him in London earlier this week, one of the best live music shows I’ve ever seen. His voice is still incredible!

Haha, the ladder request was classic!

I also saw Glasgow first night as well as his American Utopia show 2018 (Royal Concert Hall not Hydro). Agreed 100%. Looking forward to his Scottish return in July, this time in Edinburgh (3 nights at the Playhouse theatre sold out already).

Think the OP posted in the wrong thread, though (should have been in the Live gigs thread).

2. Gomez 1999.

3. The Hives 2011.

4. Pet Shop Boys 2022.

5. Soft Play 2024/Coldplay 2000/New Order 2016 (Ok, I can't make up my mind, but they were all special)

Iggy & The Stooges 2007

Pet Shop Boys 2022

Kacey Musgraves 2022

First Aid Kit 2022

The run of Bright Eyes, Super Furry Animals & The Coral 2007

Interesting that I actually enjoy a gig at the Other and don’t agree with the hate it sometimes gets that out of all the festivals only two festivals get into my top 5

right then...

1. Prodigy (2009)

2. Prodigy (1995)

3. Travis (whichever year it was when it started raining when they played that song)

4. Leftfield (2000)

5. Clare Maguire (2011) i had absolutely no idea who she was, and i didnt want to go anywhere that early, but Mrs -TLR- insisted and i'm glad because Clare Maguire was absolutely fantastic.

🙂

Whatever became of Clare Maguire? I used to absolutely love that Breakage remix of Ain't Nobody! What a blast from the past.

LCD were great they only did not make my list as i was far to muddy and broken to have full enjoyment

Top 5 "they were brilliant but i had ruined myself too much to enjoy it" would be an interesting thread

In no specific order... 2010 - 2025 (excl 2023):

The National - 2024

The Smashing Pumpkins - 2013

The Flaming Lips - 2010

The xx - 2013

The Olivia Rodrigo - 2022

Just missing out would be Wild Beasts (2017), Turnstile (2025) and Gracie Abrams (2025).

Probably the stage where I've seen most of my favourites on the farm.

No particular order, not sure how you can rank these things - 'I enjoyed that concert 87%, but that gig a mere 86%', and sure I'm missing loads but the ones that first spring to mind

Pet Shop Boys 2010

Orbital 1994

Kacey Musgraves 2022

Olivia Rodrigo 2022

LCD 2016

Pet Shop Boys 2022

Ultramarine 94?

One of those dates I'd be asking Doc Brown to put into the Flux Capacitor for me.

what night did Orbital play?

if it was friday then at least i have a good reason for not seeing them as i was at Levellers...

to be honest, the only things i can actually remember from 1994 is Levellers and Back to the Planet, got f**k all memory of anything else that happened (i did used to do a hell of a lot of drugs back then... which are baaad, mmmmkay) but i know i didn't see Orbital but i have no idea why...

I will also add the Orb in 93.

I think that’s where I was
