Saw last night Phoebe Bridgers’ mam hinted at her releasing a new album this year, would love to see her back at the farm after her excellent 2022 set! Wonder where she’d place - reckon she’s far too popular to headline the Park or Woodsies.

I think she would be a good Woodsies headliner - I recon if the festival ever managed to get Taylor Swift she would probably get the chance to pick her own sub headliner, and I recon Phoebe would be in the running for that.

I'd love Phoebe to headline the Park, Sunday night...or sunset at the Other, before Bon Iver. No reason to think Bon Iver will play, but something like the National on the Sunday a couple of years ago would be perfect for me. Maybe Phoebe would be big enough to do Other on her own if the new album flies, but that sun going down vibe is perfect for my selfish needs...

Barry Can't Swim in the Other sunset slot would be absolutely Epic probably if he plays this would now be the best slot for him.

Think you might be doing Magdalena Bay a bit dirty there though lol - Id have them as a Park headliner myself -

Think BCS has dropped off with that poor album and poorly sold APE day.

His real size is like a Park headliner i think really.

Joking right?

He is twice as big now as when he capacities the park after his first album

2nd album was great and well received - every show on the tour was a sell out apart from maybe APE which cant have been any less than 90%

Bare in mind that act that do APR (The National, Nick Cave LCD soundsystem etc etc  are normally the size of Pyramid Sub or Other headliner

Sorry to call you on it but I think BCS for a park headliner is absolutely wild shout

That is proper stacked!

Cameron W and Phoebe B both doing the double (solo show and with their bands) might be optimistic but we can dream!

Could Deftones headline the Other after the success of their new album and the amount of arena tickets they’ve shifted (and APE)?

I was definitely thinking they’ve managed to get even bigger since their booking for last year’s with private music and the tour has sold extremely well. In my prediction, I’ve got them headlining the Other (probably against a pop headliner like Olivia/Raye/Chappell etc.) unless they decide to honour the sub booking.

It was only busy at the park because it was purposefully put on at 1pm lol

That APE day was one of the worst sold (which is saying something!). There is not a chance it was 90% sold out even after 1000s of freebies were given out - possibly even over 10,000 i reckon! Were we in the same park ffs 😂

Some APE acts are the size of pyramid sub or other headliner sure - but there's plenty who aren't even close to that who do it as well!

Jamie XX who did APE previously and near sold out his Lido day did Woodsies, i cannot see any logical argument that BCS is bigger than Jamie XX.

That 2nd album was 100% a flop as well, hardly kept making him accelerate with some absolutely shite singles on it. I like the guy but he's clearly not going to be a high up pick for a slot like West Holts headline - so many better choices about!

    • People seem to have got obsessed about 'secret sets' at all festivals this year even when there aren't any spaces other than, in EOTR's case, the usual late Folly sets that 90%+ of the time are from artists who are already playing.
    • To be fair @Superscally barely mentions the running thing. Very quiet about it 😘
    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
