Also I see Lily Allen dropping her new album this Friday - reckon the superstruct festivals next year then the G in 2027. Wonder if she'll still be on the Pyramid or maybe daytime Other or Woodsies headliner?

I'd expect she will want a pyramid or other slot to get a big old crowd belting out tunes. Would be silly to do a Woodsies headline slot!

Yeah that's a good point, think I was just thinking about my initial reaction when I saw Scissor Sisters doing Woodsies and not the Pyramid this year haha! But to be fair with next year being 20 years of Alright, Still and how nostalgia for her has grown a lot these last few years (thanks to O-Rod and hearing Smile and LDN everywhere) Pyramid probably seems the sensible choice!

She could definitely end up with close to an Avril Lavigne size crowd if poorly scheduled I reckon. Been away long enough to build up demand + nostalgia

I completely agree, if she got put on the Other and some smaller artists were counter-programmed against her (like you say Avril against Janelle Monae and the like) then her crowd would probably be enormous especially with everyone wanting to sing along to Smile, LDN, The Fear, f**k You etc.

I agree. I cant see them doing anything other than a late afternoon slot at woodsies at the moment

Completely passed me by that Chvrches have gone back into the studio, wouldn’t be surprised to see them on the farm next time round. Reckon Other or high on Woodsies depending on how the album performs.

Chvrches were excellent before Fred Again.. in 2023 on Other. I'd move them up one on Other or afternoon on Pyramid. Possible headliner at Woodsies or Park.

I think they’re definitely on an upward trajectory. Loving their second album - saw them live last week and they were fantastic. Could see them as an Other sub I think though rather than headline - a Wolf Alice type slot

I second this. Think they could get a solid daytime Pyramid slot or Other sub but we’ll see how their trajectory goes!

I’d agree with that. Their album is really good and live performances are terrific.

Been seeing rave reviews for Rosalia's newest singles, I reckon if she's about in 2027 she could get a major spot on the farm. Is she too big for West Holts headliner now? Maybe Other sub or even Other headliner against a rock act?

Super Furry Animals got to be a good shout to headline The Park. Seeing them in Cardiff next year, hopefully they will play some festivals the following year

100% too big for either of these slots IMO.

I'd imagine Oasis would be first choice to headline Saturday night. They'd be the most expensive act to pay (minus some legendary band like Floyd reuniting which isn't going to happen) so you'd want them out front and centre on the night that most people follow outside the festival. 

 

As long as don't fall out then they will do Glastonbury again but might not be 2027 tbf considering they seem like they will have a few years of being able to sell out in seconds on their own before needing to sell a festival for someone else (not that Glasto needs anyone to sell it mind).

It feels like Radiohead, Oasis & Foos could all do it next year or the year after but I’d be shocked to see two of those in the same year. I’d expect up and coming artists to get the bump next will be Capaldi & Fender. Then there’s Gaga, Chappell & Sabrina who’ve all got to be consideration for the next few years. Maybe even Florence, is she still big enough?
