I do wonder who they would have to book as counter-programming on the day if Swift does play in the next few years. Chems would be a great shout for Other headliner but I wonder if they would have to get some artists who are a bit more exclusive or haven’t played the festival in a while/ever?

Yeah Yeah Yeahs would get me there

Currently watching BMTH on the Reading livestream - get them as Other Stage headliners! Outstanding show!

100% - they've really managed to make it work after Jordan's departure. When I saw them on Cardiff last year it felt like it was missing a little something but that Reading set was outstanding. The visuals would work so well with the larger Other Stage screens too

Olivia Dean now playing arenas including two nights at the O2, way out of the loop on that one. Reckon if she’s around in 2027 she could be in the 3rd/4th Pyramid slot or Other sub easily.

If she's doing two nights at the 02 coming up, she's not playing 4th down on the Pyramid at a festival that would to push female acts specifically.

Got on pretty good authority that Klaxons are reforming 2026/2027, so would expect them to pop up somewhere on the farm.

Their Reading NME headline set back in the day was one for the times, definitely interested in that.

With Olivia Dean selling out every date of her UK tour, including 4 nights at the O2, I think she is definitely a strong contender for Pyramid sub now. If Raye can do it, she can.

I'll concur that. Did not realise she was even remotely that big - kind of been blown away by it. Assumed the Rein Me In performance was more down to Fender, but she's really rode the wave these past few months.

Sub or Other headliner, unless her trajectory bottoms out.

Yeah I can see her as a good Other Stage counter-programming if someone like Fred or Oasis are booked. If she keeps this up and her new album is a hit, it seems even more likely. But I'll second you this has taken me by surprise a lot, I really enjoy her music and I'm very happy for her but did not know she was THIS popular.

They absolutely are, but I'd be surprised if she got handed the keys for the top spot straight out of the gate. Tend to find your two-album headliners have really captured the zeitgeist conversation in a way that she possibly hasn't. (See: Stormzy, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo.)

A BST slot next summer on top of these would go a long way, but don't know if it would do the trick.
