They are one of my favourite bands but I saw them live about a decade ago and I was bored to tears. I doubt they’ve improved.

I can appreciate this. I saw them in 1989 and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to, but I saw them at Mad Cool, and whilst I enjoyed it, they just don't have the ferocity any more.

They used to play songs significantly faster than on record, mashed things up, stopped and reprised songs, and made just one holy wonderful mess. They were never the most enigmatic, or visually exciting, but they made up for it with the music. Now they just don't seem to have that energy.

It just feels like a hollow money making exercise which is such a shame considering how influential and cutting edge they are.

There is a leak that some of the artists that will be on PS poster on Thursday are: The Cure, Gorillaz, Nick Cave, Gracie Abrams, Clipse, Car Seat Headrest, Joni Mitchell, Rosalia, Lola Young, EYE, Titanic.

Take it with a grain of salt tho

P.S: Forgot about Portishead being also on the lineup.

That’s like 7 headliners in 3 days. I take it with a mountain of salt.

In 2022 they had 5 headliners on 1 day.

That's also a lineup that would be easily conceivable for Primavera. Big money bagging The Cure there.

But that was 2022.

Yes. So means they have a history of doing it. In 2024 they had 9 headliners. At least try to do the bare minimum of research.

I think it is coming from Primavera Discord and the person that leaked it, got the line up announcement date right. I would also take it with a big bag of salt.

Discord? Never heard of it but hope they’re right.

Yeah, it make be fake ofc, but it's a "leak" and a "rumour" for a reason, and it's the closest thing we have till Thursday. I do believe that majority of those names are locked in.

Gorillaz again? Nick Cave again? Clipse again? Rosalia again?

I doubt theyd be that repetetive in terms of headline acts

also way too weak on the pop side

Who else would you put on the pop side? All the big pops stars like Doja and Ariana are doing stadiums now. Same with big hip hop artists unless they get Tyler and Gambino and Rocky
