I forget which years had some drawn out video reveals recently- but I was in clinic during them and it was actually great coming out when the whole thing had finally landed.

 

Oh and I was equally busy when they announced "one more thing..." last so I missed the expectation and disappointment when it turned out to be Cench

Nobody seems to have any faith in Portishead playing. Don’t think it’s a long shot. Also would really like it if they could pull Bonnie prince Billy.

There was a big fundraiser for Palestine at Wembley Arena last week. Portishead were involved but all they did was show a new recording of an old song. If they can't be arsed to play live for charity then I doubt they'll bother with this.

Brutus are announcing something tomorrow.  They were in in Primavera in 2024, so they may be on the card tomorrow

I had a look at some of the fakes that came out last year, just a few days before the announcement - often with a lot of positive "looks not far off" responses.

 

The few I saw looked about 10% right, so I feel like asking chatGTP for a line up of bands they DON'T think will play and see if it does any better 🙂
