Actually, I think we (think we) know much more than last year. At least, the pool of possible (rumoured) headliners is definitely bigger than last year.

I think we dont guess any better than last year, just that at this stage almost no other fests have announced and few tours are out wo we cant rule anyone out yet and every guess is as good as any

Why do people still book VIP? It's way more expensive and really doesn't offer much of a better experience.

They even got rid of that nice grassy VIP zone near the entrance (views to the old Primavera Stage) for the first time this year.

I booked it out of tradition/nostalgia.. I know it‘s stupid. Had a facebook post from 2011 pop up the other the day that reminded me of the €1 for a small beer. That combined with the access to main stage VIP areas was good times

They really want the Rockdelux magazine

But yeah they got rid of that area plus one of the stands at Mordor this year too. I guess for Americans its "cheap". I'm surprised they haven't tried to improve it and charge more money as a result. Or even allow people to upgrade their ticket to VIP nearer the time

Exactly, every year it seems to offer less and less to the point where it now feels like a huge waste of money.

For me the main upsides are the easy entry (no queues, minimal frisking) and the central VIP bit at Mordor which was great for packed shows like Gorillaz or FKA Twigs where my gang wasn't particularly interested in being all the way upfront but still wanted to see from fairly close up and have handy toilets.

It’s maybe unethical but possible to ahem get Primavera Pro which gives the first of those plus other benefits for barely more than standard ticket cost.

As for the VIP, I tried it once for a day in 2018 (it was included in the price of a fancy lunch on the site) and the only good thing about it was that a few minutes before The National's set started I was able to get very close to the stage (in a now non-existent VIP area). Other than that, it was completely worthless for me. I remember watching Waxahatchee from the VIP area on the green hill and leaving it for the other "non-VIP" green hill next to it to get a more comfortable and better view.

Since then I'm happy with my general ticket, with one exception - last year it was quite difficult to get tickets for some of the ciutat shows. I even ended up buying a ticket for Kneecap because I wasn't able to grab a free one (even though I had the "early bird advantage").

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
    • Out of interest keep seeing messages saying last 12 hours etc… to buy you full weekend tickets.  Whats that about? Do they take them off sale early?
