So, semi pissed post watching you tube concert at Hollywood bowl. Massive fan and wouldn't it be just great fun if they played thus year? The tipping point is such a good album. They would be great, and it would no doubt be rammed wherever they played.  Together with their past back catalogue, surely it's a must this year.

Where do they play? Other headline?  They outright headline most other festivals they play.

Third from top on the Pyramid.

Think they're too "retro" for an Other Headline, even compared to other 80s acts. But they'd be a cracking choice for a massive late afternoon / early evening singalong.

they had dates that could have fitted with glasto a few years back but but didn't happen, guess it will one day as they're locals

I think they'd be well suited to a headline set on the Park Stage, tbh, the precedence being Sparks a few years go.

Surely they are way bigger than this?

I'd have them only a couple of pegs below The Cure & Depeche Mode. Not Pyramid headliner, but sub or Other headliner.  Around the same level as the likes of Simple Minds and the aforementioned Pet Shop Boys.

I wouldn't say much bigger,.not for a.modern Glastonbury crowd, at least

Think about fourth down Pyramid would be right for an act like them, but Glastonbury seems to largely miss out on all of these new wave/synth pop acts from the 80s (Erasure, Human League, Duran Duran etc) and they always seem to take more prominent slots at other festivals like IOW instead. Maybe Glastonbury’s payday just isn’t worth it to them.

All over this.

As a headliner I reckon they'd be fine on either Park or (controversially) Acoustic. They're undoubtedly a popular band with some big hits, and if you put them on mid-afternoon they could well draw a massive crowd. But stick them as a headliner, and I don't think they'd be as massive a draw against other headliners.

Undoubtedly a big nostalgia draw, and Tipping Point is a fantastic album for new stuff, but nostalgia acts don't tend to have as big a pull in the top slots. Park or Acoustic would be perfect I reckon

It's a weird one. Their spotify monthly numbers are bigger than PSB and DM combined, and yet they don't feel any bigger. I think the issue is that loads of people would be there for just a couple of the big hits and not care about most of the catalogue. Pyramid sub or other headline seems about right, but alternative programming would be important.

I love them, and if I was there would want as long a set as possible.

TFF are likely too expensive for Glastonbury. They seem to follow where the money is, like Duran Duran.

We can live in hope though

A novelty act ain’t worth big bucks

They should be grateful to be offered any slot
