Do we think Fontaines for 2028?

I'm still unsure whether they're at their ceiling or not. If they can break further, then maybe.

Starting to think they may want to return with a homegrown bang. Going to say two headliners from Blighty, one from overseas. Still thinking Sam Fender and Lady Gaga, but puts the question up for the other one now.

There was rumours of Wembley for 2025 IIRC, obv never happened. Hard to tell how big a ticket shifter he is tbh, hype was massive at one point.

There's no way Fred Again... could sell Knebworth well.

 

Its far too difficult to get to! A good amount of his audience in the london area likely don't have cars either I'd guess which doesn't help. I guess if it was the only show announced. Would be such a random location anyway vs a stadium!

 

The buzz around him has dropped off massively, think wembley right now would be pushing it

 

He was added to Skepta's festival last minute and they had to give out free tickets for it and it still didn't sell out - although will admit it was super last minute and so most people would already have plans for a sunny weekend (+also crystal palace, which is way better connected than Knebworth!).

I didn't even see he got added to that. Assumed it must have been under the radar to some extent.

 

Think if you gee it up as an "event", it could shift numbers. What is the Knebworth capacity these days again?

Goes to 125,000 (140,000 with staff) but I think Liam had it at 70,000.

It is a fascinating trajectory. Seemed to come out of nowhere to me, didn't quite anticipate the hype, kind of felt the R+L placement solidified the conversation after the zeitgeist of that Glasto evening slot, and now... huh.
