2027 Headliners

Given it would be ten years since Radiohead last did it, I'm not opposed to the idea - it's a big gap - but given there would only be one new record on the shelf, not sure what there would be in terms of difference at hand.

I can't remember who I previously hedged a bet for way, waaaay back. Will need to have a look.

Just read NME’s interview with Oli Sykes and they asked about BMTH headlining and he replied “Glastonbury’s not our world.” Think that shows they aren’t too interested in playing at the farm anytime soon, even as Other headliners.

Intriguing but perhaps a reflection of a few slots where they've struggled to connect to a larger audience. Think there's still a place for them but we'll see.

BMTH are absolute shite but can't deny they would be a coup for an other headliner.

An intriguing one, given their live reputation has only broadly increased in recent years.

Think they are great fun live, though there's obviously a lot of distraction to go with it.

They also have a tendency to fudge their setlists. Think this summer's shows could have been so much better on paper.

To be fair they went from 3rd down Other to 5th down Other so.

Take Chappell, Lorde and Capaldi. Undercards aren't worth getting out of bed for though.

Yes but this was BMTH

Deftones are already playing next year with a new album which was regarded as not overly given schedule history. I don't. Very unlikely they'll play 3 big summers in a row.

Id Dare to say if they got Oasis they might put something really big on the Other stage the same night.   QOTSA are no small fish but even they struggled against Elton - so id expect they would go really big for crowd control reasons

Id guess if they were to headline the Pyramid they might go has far as trying to book a Pyramid size act on the Other or at least something very different - like a big Rap or Electonic act -

Oasis / Hazza / Chappell or Sab Carp

Something for everyone

My money would go here too. I think oasis will do it. Harry is a tap in and timings should work out. Obv can't be a male for the third (at least as first choice). My vote would go Chappell- just can't get behind Sabrina as much, would be like Katy Perry headlining on the Teenage Dream tour to me.

Different times, man.  Different times.  She's headlining festivals all over the place - BST, Primavera, Lolla, etc.  15 years back pop girls were in their own sort of ghetto just doing arena tours.

Yeah fair, to me there is distinction between Sabrina and other artists like Chappell/Lorde/ Lana but it's clearly my own personal bias. Sabrina is obviously 'big' enough and clearly will be on the festival's radar. Chappell would be my choice assuming Taylor isn't realistic atm.

I dont think this is a bad guess either but with Sabrina. I dont think Chappell will be about.

Weirdly The Killers are joining this combo of acts for Estereo Picnic in Colombia but not for these ones.

Estereo isnt tied to LN but they get to book pretty much the same lineup due to avails. they also have Whitest Boy Alive.

All things considered, Charli wouldve been the perfect counter programming if Oasis had played this year on Saturday night. Theyll need something like that opposite if thats what happens.

    • We don't have any choice but I don't need a t-shirt for it! 🙂    On the bright side, it gets it out of the way for a nice 5 year run... notwithstanding wars, new contagious diseases and apocalypse.

    • Top 5 acts of the weekend for me: 1. The Cure 2. my bloody valentine  3. caroline 4. Father John Misty 5. Big Thief   Biggest disappointments: - Slowdive (the mixing/sound just wasn’t right, and that was about 20 rows from the front of the stage) - The xx (also too quiet and marred by talkers who had no interest in the music)    Positives from an organisational sense: - extra water point at Mordor this year - handing out ponchos before the rain and ear plugs before mbv    However…two of the water points had ran out on Saturday evening, which is completely unacceptable when you stop people from bringing in large bottles of water, and charge €4.50 at the bars for a 330ml can
